I don't have the goal stats, but i've checked out just the ht & ft's.
Just a quick one on such leads at half-time where a team is 2-0 up but doesn't score in the second half whilst the opposition does.
(X>0)
5 years (2006/2011)
Half-Time Score 2-0: 975 games
Full-Time Score 2-X: 220 games
Strike Rate: 22.56%
Half-Time Score 0-2: 545 games
Full-Time Score: X-2: 178 games
Strike Rate: 32.66%
Average Home Team Price: 2.27
Average Away Team Price: 3.80
Although it's less likely to occur if the Home team has such advantage, they are generally more favoured and the price is likely to be better to Lay. _________________ D.Rogerson's Ratings

Thank you!
According to the stats this strat might be more useful betting in games where the away team leads with 2 goals in HT then. |

I would say either.
It's more likely that if the home team goes up that the price will collapse, and then there's a real chance of a good % trade out.
The price won't collapse as much for the away team, but the strike rate is better so it could even itself out.
I don't have the average ht/ft prices though. _________________ D.Rogerson's Ratings

On the trade a day thread i normally advise laying the fav in chosen premiership matches and greening up if 0-0 at half time or the outsider scores.
However in many cases the fav scores in the 1ast half and you are left with a losing trade.
But i have advised previously of going back in and backing the outsider again (+ the draw in some cases)
The inflated price of the outsider means that you only need to be right a few times to glean a profit.
It will be interesting in the forthcoming season to trial this. _________________ OLBG Community Manager. |

spot on mate.. that's the whole point of this... backing the high price in the hope that the next goal goes that way so you can green up bigtime (or laying etc)
happens a bit it seems... sticking with the prem and will be doing this next season
(hope for another qpr at 750 price!)

| I shall be partaking in this again this season, sticking to Premiership only, laying any team that takes a 2 goal lead, makes watching Soccer Saturday a whole lot of fun |

backing or laying but watching for these 2 goal gaps
(or 1 occasionally if the market over-reacts)
here we go...

Well done gecko, a perfect example of trading with the result being unimportant. _________________ OLBG Community Manager. |
