Just been looking through the top 100 players of 2012
http://www.nfl.com/top100/2012#video=09000d5d82a2aeaf
Some really surprising choices, Eli Manning No31 i'm nowhere near his biggest fan, but surely leading an average team to the Superbowl must count for more than that, and conversely Peyton Manning in the top 100 at all, he didn't throw a ball all season, so how on earth did he manage that? _________________ If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

Luck looked excellent, read coverage well, didnt hold on to ball too long, felt presure knew when to get out of the pocket, it is so hard not to see him being a super start for next 10years.
flynn looked solid for the sea hawks, the broncos as well did alright.
see that chad johnson got arrested and then dropped by dolophins, from what iv read the wife is no angel, and chad hasnt been in trouble with the law before. |

The new season NFL Brains Trust
Just a quick note to say that the OLBG NFL Brains Trust will operate again this season. As last season it won't be a competition and so won't carry any prizes. The aim once again will be to provide insight and guidance from the members of the BT with an aim of making a profit during the seaon from selected 'best bets'. Last season we failed in the goal of making a profit, and in hindsight that was down to one catastrophic week for almost all the selections put up that week. That week apart we had shown steady success.
One small change to this season is that all BT member posts will be made in the general selections/discussion thread for that week rather than having a specific BT thread. That's on request from OLBG who didn't want the BT to be seen as closed to comment or discussion by others.
There are a number of changes being implemented by OLBG on 1st Sept to the competitions etc., and with that in mind I have started to put together a dedicated NFL Brains Trust blog. This is an independent blog which will hopefully prove popular with NFL fans and also bring people back to OLBG as well. More details on that later, and also on the structure for the new season BT. There's a couple of tweaks, but mostly it'll run the same as last season.
I aim to have ante-post previews by BT members on the blog so I'll be contacting you guys for that shortly.
Not long now!!!! _________________ ----

Hi All
I used to watch NFl regularly in the early nineties when Dallas were dominating, but drifted away from it until last year. I dipped my toe in and out last season and thoroughly enjoyed it so hopefully will watch a lot more this season.
Forgive me if I ask any silly questions but you guys seem well informed on all the latest goings on and I quite fancy a few bets to give it that little extra bit of spice, so here goes.
1) Who is this Andrew Luck you are all talking about?
2) Any early fancies for any of the Divisions? |

Hi drobgod
Briefly:
Andrew Luck is a rookie QB who has just been drafted by the Indianapolis Colts to replace the legendary Peyton Manning who has gone to Denver.
Luck was number one draft and wanted by most of the teams in the league.
He has a huge reputation but has huge shoes to fill - something to follow throughout the season.
Keep tuned in to OLBG there will be plenty of tips soon - hoping to find time to put a season preview up soon but time dictates. _________________ My Twitter https://twitter.com/@billsghost

| Luck opted in for an extra year at college too to finish his degree, pretty rare in todays NFL. That extra year made the league want him even more. Any QB that has been the best in their time, he is being compared to, he has all the qualities of a great player, the right attitude and hes just a really likeable guy. |
