A while since i have been on here, but it looks like we have a Soft Communist as a Labour leader, and i say this with a heavy heart, but the unions seem hell bent on bringing this country to it's knees to get their way and the result that we have had today about the hacking debacle says that this is a political driven decision were the committee voted 6 to 4 saying Rupert Murdoch is not a fit person to run a company, and driven by Labour votes, and so partisan it beggers belief, and i have no doubt that Fascism has crept slowly into the Labour party...it is against Banks and against Profit, and uses parlimentary privalege to say what they want...in my opinion a cowards way out, and dont forget what Blair and Brown did to this counrty for 13 years..almost Bankrupt.....but the most disturbing thing on the horizon now is that a Labour party full of Reds (communist's in sheeps clothing) could end up running this counrty.

Yep agreed Turf, but what worries me is that the "yes" men are going to get back in at the next election.

Want 400 new hospitals - Yes. Want 2000 more Police Officers in each County - Yes. Want more Benefits to keep unemployed people sitting at home with no motivation - Yes. Want the Euro - Yes. Want more Housing and Immigration - Yes.

And how will they Pay for all this? Answer - Wait for Conservative to get back in to try to soften the crisis.

Unfortunately Labour try to come across as the Political Party of the people. And it works because so many are sucked in. They need a new candidate to do it though. Best chance Cons have of staying in at the next election is if Ed Miliband is the main competition.

And as for T*** B****. I still can't bring myself to say his name!

I have always been intrested Liverpool1985 in politic's, since my Father took me to see Harold Wilson talk many moon's ago back in the 1960's..............

I have seen many changes since those days, and i have travelled up and down this country ever since, and most of the travelling has been combined by going to sporting events, and i have met many people from all walk's of life on those travels, but the political climate is at it's most dangerous as i see it than at any other time in my lifetime: just take a look at the French elections...over 6 million people have voted for the National front.
Democracy is the most important force in the British culture, but some parties are playing a dangerous game by attacking the press, and the banking system for political game rather than having any clear plans of their own.
I can still remember proudly when my father was selected from the audience to ask a question, and stood up, and asked his question, and Harold Wilson gave his reply on the debate...in those days things were conducted in a cordial way, but in the last few years it has gone to the other end of the scale as i have been to several political talks, and find it hard to believe how much hate has crept into politic's in that time, and i use that word hate sparingly.

I think this thread has lost its way a bit and has become a party political broadcast thread on behalf of the Conservative party, can we get it back on track please, a reminder of the forum rules:

Quote:
Bad Taste / Political / Racist / Religious postings (4 points)

No politics or religion please (including jokes) unless just about betting (next president, next pope). Please be wary of anything that may offend, bearing in mind the forum is frequentled by people from all over the world with different beliefs and humour. There is some relaxation of this rule in popular jokes threads like "Cure for Depression" where in the right context these are used in "good faith"

Apple are bringing out a Baby iPAD....it is going to be a 7-inch version......and the cost is likely to be about £150...

You will be able to bring in a large part of the population who can afford to purchase, and this will open up a large market source in my opinion........ Win

Energy Bills...Gas will rise by up to 19%....this coming winter.(2012/13).....suppliers cost's have risen...this will add on average £50 to the Gas Bill per household per year.

J P Morgan......lose £1.2 Billion..........shares plunge................... Confused

Greece has been described as a building on fire with no exit's by some, and if Greece does default, and come out of the euro it could lose 50% of GDP...... Shocked

GDP..is ..( Gross Domestic Product )..It is a measure...Total amount of goods and services produced by a country in a basic specific period of time....Quarterly/Yearly.

Another intresting factor is the Soveriegn Debt in the euro.

Were are most euro countries putting/investing their money (Bond Markets) for a raining day.

Britain and Germany......

Britain's track record for safety on this subject can be traced back to 1703......as a safe haven for euro countries rainy day pot's.

I was out for dinner earlier in the week, and the talk was about the Euro, and the cost will be about 1.3 Trillion euro's to put things on a level playing field again.
This is not going to happen because the cup-board is bare.

There may be a Storm in Britian to day weather wise, but there is a big financial storm brewing in the Euro zone.....Spain would like £40 billion to help their banks.....not a bail-out, but a loan........ Confused

Spain has 24% un-employment, and 50% of teenager's are un-employed.

As for Spains GDP... the un-employment figure reflects that.

This will be a short-term sugar fix.

Now look at Australia.. their Economy has grown by 1.4% in the last fiscal year, and their mining sector is going to expand.

It's 2.30am in the morning, and i am just making a cup of hot chocalate..

I was out this evening at a dinner with wine and a celebration for a chap who had done thirty years service to his company, and he could retire, but he is not going to to which i asked him later in the evening why are you working on, and his reply was that he was asked to stay on part-time to which he said yes with added bonuses.

You see the out-come of the conversation was that though the company had advertised his position they could not find anyone with the skills to replace him, and so to keep him the company threw this lavish do as part of him staying on.
So what has happened to the skills in this great nation of ours that some companies cannot find people to replace our retiring work-force.
