2.00 WORCESTER - EVERDON BROOK (NAP)
Its an intriguing contest this opener at the Midlands venue. I think the most opposable horse in the field is Factotum who just does not like chasing whatsoever. Why connections have persevered with the horse over these bigger obstacles is honestly baffling as i think he is past it and there is no way he will be winning a race like this giving weight away with the way he jumps fences. I wouldn't even have 100/1 let alone 9/1. There are doubts about a few of these in the field. I can understand why the favourite is Captain Tidds as he is a decent horse over this trip and was rated in the high 110s a few years back but the ground is officially described as good and if my weather is anything to go by, the track is drying out all the time and Captain Tidds likes to get his toe in, so while he is favourite now, i can see the horse being very weak before the off. Which then breaks the field down and in my opinion i think it is worth taking the chance on Everdon Brook off a light weight in the field. The most unexposed horse in the field and the age leaves the horse the ability to have some room for improvement. The horse made a very encouraging return to action and Towcester in soft conditions when jumping on the whole well and definitely coming out of the race with credit. He then went on again over this distance at Towcester and was moving really nicely and in contention clearly showing that he had improved from that debut run and was clearly going to be involved in the finish but the horse unseated rider. However, there was enough to suggest that the horse was capable of winning a race off a mark of 74 so dropped another 1lb makes life easier. Not just this, i know people are put off by claimers but this conditional had the horse bang in contention last time out and gave the horse a good ride. With no worries about the trip or ground, carrying a light weight off a winnable mark with doubts about the opposition, he is definitely value at 9/1.
Also guys big word around for Sharestan this morning. Get on! _________________ Follow Me On Twitter |

2.20 Curragh - Gale Force Ten, the O'Brian runner should improve on it's last run and is by Oasis Dream so should handle the ground and should give it a good go. 5/1
3.20 Danehill Promise, I know nothing about the horse but in the discussion thread some 1 has tipped it and supposed be a gamble on it today and apparently the same guy tipped up big price winner not so long back so I will give it a chance E/W 25/1 but as I say I dont have a clue about the horse I am just following the other guys tip check the discussion thread.
4.20 Vedani and Warwick Avenue, another O'Brian runner that should improve and go close and is a nice price 9/2 I took and I also have backed VEDANI who is by sadlers wells and should love the ground and improve after beng green last time and I think will be bank there today at 7/1 nice odds.
3.40 Academy, Lucy Alexander / Nw Alexander they could have a winner today with academy who on his handicap debut is sure too improve alot today and looks a nice price for a horse I am pretty sure will go close today.
4.10 Trendelenburg, for the G Elliot yard looks interesting with a jockey I love on board Timmy Murthy, is a class jock and they might have this 1 well handicapped I took 18/1 and will give it a chance E/W

Well done Horsetaylor
TOP NAP and a nice writeup
2:20 Curragh
Nabat Sultan 14-1 e/w
Kevin Prendergast has done well with debutants this year so this one could be a bit of value in this race. |

440 Perth 0.5pt win 1pt place Lockedinthepocket. Conditions are ideal for this CD specialist 2/2 over CD.T murphy takes the ride again and hes a good record on this horse 2/4.Stable had 4/6 win in May and only had the 1 runner out this month which never placed. Won here off 106 today runs off 112 but still fairly lightly raced 15 runs. I doubt they have got to the bottom of this one yet. Repelled a D Mcain horse lto which was a decent enough effort as that hadn't had that much racing. Be surprised if we are not in the first 3 today _________________ Watching those snakes !!!!!!!! |
