@ The Ex
Interesting you say that because I'm very keen on Higgs Boson in the last which Lucy Alexandra rides. 12/1
It's unexposed and could potentially run a big race on good ground for the first time.
I would be siding with Divers in the race you mentioned. |

Just be aware that Brian Meehan is the original hype merchant. It always looks impressive when it comes off, but I wouldn't take his comments as though the horse in question is special. I'd guess that even his selling platers 'go well' in their work. I am not saying the 2yo in question isn't as good as he says he is, but I'd be mindful that there seem to be quite a few 'flying machines' in the stable. A bit like Alan King's yard. They seem to have a few 'the best I've ever trained' horses in and around the yard every season.
I seem to remember him hyping up a horse of his the day at Newbury in the race Saamidd made a winning debut (same day as Frankel announced himself as a potential superstar); got well beaten and think I am right in saying it remains a maiden to this day! _________________ Dark Horses 2013 - Flat

4 for me today , Hannon has by far best record of 2yos in 7.00 at bath so going with Citius in 7pm 7/2
owner likes a winner at bath , has one in 5pm so Lady Rosamunde 9/2
likewise for 8pm for Kyllachy Storm 7/2
Palling sent 3 2yo debutants to newbury with 2 places so have Edged out at 33/1
all 4 backed e/w so at least if first 3 place will get a return ,
good luck |

| I was looking for an opinion on Rowlestone Lad in the 4.15 Fontwell. He had run well in past 3 meetings in Class 4 Hurdle - and ran well in previous meeting in a longer trip. He is back down to a shorter trip today. However, he is on the heavy side today 11-12 - much more than majority of race, although he also the youngest - will that hamper his chances??? I see Pepito Collonges is being fancied. |

To be fair to meehan - his stable writeup for Wednesday this week was positive for 2 of his 4 runners - this is the writeup for the one that won
COGITO (Newmarket 1.50 p.m.) Giant’s Causeway colt showed plenty of ability at home last year but had a setback so missed the campaign. Back at his best again this spring and should run a good first race. Bred to be useful and is half-brother to two smart performers, including the stable’s 114-rated (in 2006) Admiral’s Cruise. |

Trebormint, he obviously knows what he's got at the end of the day, and fair play to him for putting up his thoughts and opinions for all to see. I am just saying that, when he comes across as confident, it doesn't make me sit up and take notice as it would for a Roger Varian/David Lanigan-type trainer. _________________ Dark Horses 2013 - Flat

Amaraja has got a lovely pedigree (three-parts sister to Curtain Call, who operated a very smart level and relished soft ground), but I favour Vow on this occasion. I couldn't be 100 per cent confident on Popular winning today; got the raw ability and pedigree to win, but the ground has to be a major worry with her today. Require, a close relation of the smart middle distance stayer Ask, is one to keep an eye on for the future in that race. Wrotham Heath ought to win as he's got his conditions (has a pronounced knee action).
The 2yo maiden looks a really difficult race to decipher, and the ground makes it even harder to reach a firm conclusion. There has been stacks of money for the Beckett newcomer, but there is a lot to like about the pedigree of the Charlie Hills trained Englishman (both of his siblings to have raced went close on debut) and his 2yos have shaped nicely without winning so far this week. They often started off a nice sort in this race when Barry held the permit. _________________ Dark Horses 2013 - Flat

Just wonder how slow is slow regarding Selfara
| Quote: |
| Her work has been encouraging but she has a habit of being rather slow out of the stalls. |
