Titan TRUIMPH
A winner on a handicapped mark of 91 in the past and is on 82 here so you could say he is well handicapped. The jockey has won on the selection before and the horse as won over the trip in the past but he is better over slightly further. The trainer has had only 2 runners over the last 14 days but has won with one of those, at 20/1ish if I am lucky he might place at least. |

Kempton Park 17:15
Ducal
It goes without saying having already beat Dubarshi, Intercept and Street Power here, Ducal is already a fit and in form rival for most of these horses today. The 3lb rise is very fair and should not affect his effort to win a third C&D today for Sir Mark Prescott and keep up the good work for the Mike Murphy stable today. So roll on a Kempton hat trick. |

5.15 kempton - dubarshi
a hard race to solve but my fella should be fit after his initial run behind ducal where he did not get a clear passage when starting his challenge
2f out that was quite a nice race and should strip even fitter today miss
crowley is a very able trainer and dane o'neill a more than apt jockey. |

ESPRIT DE MIDAS
He is capable of doing very well in this class , and as this is not a particularly strong field he runs fresh , he may repay Each Way support at a fair price.
Shane Kelly has a good record for Dean Ivory and is 20% SR on AW.
All 3 AW wins have been over 7f at Southwell so this could be a welcome step up in trip having been running over 6f in the main of late. This will place less emphasis on pure speed and is well drawn.
He won a 6f claimer for Dandy Nicholls in August and has run run enough in 2 turf handicaps since to indicate that he might take advantage of his more lenient AW mark. _________________ One-a-day history

KAKAPUKA
TRAINER KNOWS HOW TO SPRING A FEW SHOCKS ON THE ALL WEATHER. HAS RAN VERY WELL FRESH IN THE PAST WINNING FIRST TIME OUT BEFORE.
THIS COURSE AND DISTANCE WINNER WILL RUN WELL COMING FROM OFF THE PACE AND WIN AT A HUGE SP. BADLY DRAWN BUT THAT IS NOT A ISSUE FOR THIS HOLD UP PERFORMER _________________ ALL WEATHER RATINGS MK 2

Kempton 5.15
CAPE ROCK
Narrowed this down to 3, Sea Soldier-The Guru of Gloom-Cape Rock.
Sea Soldier looks to have the best credentials and still fairly unexposed, having won his maiden and then ran well enough in two handicap runs against better company.
The Guru of Gloom was fairly consistent last year, never ran as a 3yo, after 3 runs in maidens, broke his maiden tag before tackling handicap company and never put a foot wrong and has C/D winning form.
Cape Rock also has C/D winning form to his name but does have a long layoff to overcome, he has run well fresh in the past, won first time up in 2009 and also went close on first run of 2010, only beaten a length, when 4th in a similar handicap over C/D.
I'll side with Cape Rock at the longest price of the 3 to overcome his layoff. |
