Right! Busy day for Mrs. J. S. BOLGER (our star performer but at a course that has not been quite so good of late - due a winner, hopefully). Firstly, let's get rid of the discarded two year olds.
City Square and Teoirim (5.20) and Dawn Approach all qualify for their '0' rating but her record with 2 year olds is very poor and too bad for us to accept them
This leaves us with 4 others, all qualifiers despite the shaky course figures.
NAAS
7.20: CLEOFILA
All AllAged: 9 wins from 29 runs for LSP of 46.75
Single Star (*) rating: 6 wins from 16 runs for LSP of 32.50
All Naas: 1 win from 12 runs for LSL of 1.00
Naas AllAged: 0 wins from 6 runs for LSL of 6.00
5+ 2 points to win.
7.50: AURIFODINA
All AllAged: 9 wins from 29 runs for LSP of 46.75
'0' rated: 5 wins from 33 runs for LSP of 13.25
All Naas: 1 win from 12 runs for LSL of 1.00
Naas AllAged: 0 wins from 6 runs for LSL of 6.00
5+ 2 points to win
8.20: CONFIDENT CUB
All AllAged: 9 wins from 29 runs for LSP of 46.75
'0' rated: 5 wins from 33 runs for LSP of 13.25
All Naas: 1 win from 12 runs for LSL of 1.00
Naas AllAged: 0 wins from 6 runs for LSL of 6.00
5+ 2 points to win
8.50: MISS DYLAN
All AllAged: 9 wins from 29 runs for LSP of 46.75
All Naas: 1 win from 12 runs for LSL of 1.00
Naas AllAged: 0 wins from 6 runs for LSL of 6.00
*Tj rating: 0-0
All T rated: 2 wins from 9 runs for LSL of 3.13
5+ 1 point to win.
Obviously a huge difference in the stats on each horse and we could well find that the reds will win out. But the profit Jim's wife's horses have given can stand the overall 7 point loss. On the other hand, we only need one winner for an acceptable result.
That's all for today - that's enough, surely! |

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al MAKTOUM runs two at Leicester tonight. Za'Lan (8.50) does not qualify but the other one does.
7.50 Leicester: ALKADI.
0Tj rating: 10 wins from 41 runs for a LSP of 4.61
All Leicester: 2 wins from 4 runs for a LSP of 16.25
Leicester 3yos: 0 from 1 for LSL of 1.00
All 3yos: 8 wins from 43 runs for a LSP of 1.16
5+
1 point win.
Pretty tight but gets in. |

No joy I'm afraid with Alkadi. Didn't seem to stay the trip.
Two Nottingham runners from GODOLPHIN today, but only one qualifies. Elusive is discarded because of their poor 3yos record (6 from 40 for a LSL of 11.88) despite positives on the three other factors. We are left with:
2.15 Nottingham: GOLD HUNTER
All 2yo: 13 wins from 56 runs for LSP 10.48
All Nottingham: 7 wins from 31 runs for LSP 5.25
Nottinham 2yos: 3 wins from 10 runs for LSP 5.40
** Rating: 0 wins from 1 run for LSL 1.00
5+
2 points to win
10+
1 point to win
No others today |

No pot from Gold Hunter but hopefully a better result today from
2.55 Haydock: MURAWIJ - Sheikh Ahmed Al MAKTOUM
All Haydock: 5 wins from 9 runs for LSP of 26.33
Haydock 2yos: 2 wins from 2 runs for LSP 25.00
All 2yos: 3 wins from 8 runs for LSP of 21.25
'0' Rating: 3 wins from 8 runs for LSP of 21.25
5+
1 point to win.
Currently 6/4. |

MURAWIJ wins at the first time of asking, franking our very strong figures for Sheikh Ahmed.
11/5 is an odd SP but we are happy to accept! Unusual for one of ours to drift.

Two qualifiers discarded yesterday; K. Abdulla's Perennial 3.45 Goodwood (good course figures but dire 3yo and single star rating figures) and Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum's Comical 8.35 Catterick (good single star figure but bad AllAged figures). Both lost.
Two qualifiers discarded today; K Abdulla's Jet Away 2.45 Goodwood (qualified on all Goodwood and AllAged results but failed on single star rating - only just failed) and the same owner's Bated Breath 3.00 Haydock (good for AllAged but sunk by poor overall, especially T rated).
Happily though we have two bets left:
3.25 Chester: ENERY - Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al MAKTOUM.
All Chester: 5 wins from 22 runners for LSP of 21.40
Chester 3yos: 0 wins from 4 runners for LSL of 4.00
All 3yos: 8 wins from 46 runners for LSL of 1.84
Single Star rating: 6 wins from 48 runners for LSP of 14.50
5+
1 point win
Iffy, but strong overall with 19 from 120 for LSP of 30.06
4.25 Goodwood: SEA MOON - K. ABDULLA
All Goodwood: 5 wins from 26 runners for LSP of 3.86
All AllAged: 9 wins from 41 runners for LSP of 9.88
Goodwood AllAged: 4 wins from 13 runners for LSP of 11.86
Star Tick rating: 2 wins from 7 runners for LSL of 3.99
All Tick rating: 7 wins from 21 runners for LSL of 3.99
5+
2 points win
Very short but I cannot leave out because of that. Qualification rules are qualification rules.
Latest prices are 9/2 Enery and 2/5 Sea Moon. |

A bit of a slap as the two discarded runners win. However, the overall record is heavily in favour of continuing to eliminate runners that fall short of the full qualifying criteria.
Enery goes down without a fight but SEA MOON wins - and what a fight that one had! No 2/7 shot ever worked harder!
Today there are two discards, both from GODOLPHIN at Leicester - 2.30 Shooting Jacket and Artigiano (same race). Overall 2yo stats are good but Star rating and, for Artigiano, T rating are both poor. Shooting Jacket seems to hold the better chance. Their other runner does not qualify.
One that does comes from Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al MAKTOUM.
2.30 Leicester: HAVERSTOCK
All 2yos: 10 wins from 39 runners for LSP of 8.10.
All Leicester: 2 wins from 6 runners for LSP of 14.75
Leicester 2yos: 2 wins from 2 runners for LSP of 18.75
Single Star rating: 6 wins from 49 runners for LSP of 11.50.
5+
1 point win.
Encouragingly solid blue figures suggest that this one may have a better chance than the current 16/1 being offered.
Another long shot that could surprise comes from Danethorpe Racing Partnership in the 3 45 Kempton (Night Flash). Does not qualify but this owner is moving closer to our requirements. |

Two Godolphin qualifiers discarded yesterday (Inthar WON 2/1**!!! and Muntasir second 4/5*). Good for course but bad 3yo performers). One discard today is Landaman (9.05 Beverley) - good course figures but very poor AllAged stats.
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al MAKTOUM's other runner has no such drawback.
8.05 Beverley: CAPTIVITY
All Beverley: 6 wins from 19 runs for LSP 11.50
Beverley 3yos: 4 wins from 9 runs for LSP 13.50
All 3yos: 8 wins from 47 runs for LSL 2.84
Single Star rating: 6 wins from 50 runs for LSP 10.50
5+
1 point to win. Currently 11/1. |
