Empress of Rome did not run. Neither did Links Course yesterday. (McManus's discarded runner got bearen - stats will out!
In my haste I misnamed the 5.10 runner. It should, of course, be GLOR NA MORA
More importantly, this one is a 2 point win bet.

I have just taken 7/2 with the excellent Bet 365.
Betfair at 4.9 but I hate betting with them and BOG plus the exchange's 5% commission make the bookies more attractive.
Bet365 have just given me a £5 bonus bet after I telephoned them to enquire as to how I could check where another recent £5 bonus could be found in my account. I was amazed and pleasantly surprised. They really are streets ahead of the arrogant Ladbrokes and the smug, self satified Betfair. |

Today's loser saw the loss of profit down by 20.00 exactly since the start of the GB Turf season.
All very disconcerting and one hopes for an improvement soon.
On the other hand we should not forget that the purpose of this thread is to seek out individual owner who produce good regular profits rather than a catch all, which is what the stats tend to portray.
Regular viewers will know that we have found some very reliable performers. It is for this reason that I remain relaxed as some owners prove that they are not what we are looking for. |
