Hi bettingted. Nice to get somebody to keep me company. Thanks. You want some more qualifiers - well, we have them in spades today. Hope the results keep up the pressure on the layers.
GODOLPHIN are regulars here and today they supply no less than 4 qualifiers:
3.40 Notts: PARLOUR GAMES
All Nottingham: 7 wins from 28 runs for LSP of 8.27
Nottingham MultiAged: 1 win from 7 runs for LSL of 1.50
All MultiAged: 6 wins from 38 runs for LSP of 0.49
'0' rated: 4 wins from 25 runs for LSP of 7.58
5+ 1 point win.
2.20 Ling: YAA SALAM
All Lingfield: 6 wins from 15 runs for LSP of 2.09
Lingfield 3yos: 0-0
All 3yos: 0 wins from 1 run for LSL of 1.00
*Tc rating: 0-0
All T ratings: 4 wins from 6 runs for LSP of 5.59
5+ 1 point win.
5.40 Notts: BRAILSFORD
All Nottingham: 7 wins from 28 runs for LSP of 8.27
Nottingham 3yo: 3 wins from 11 runs for LSP of 4.37
All 3yo: 6 wins from 26 runs for LSP of 2.18
All single star (*) rated: 14 wins from 69 runs for LSP of 11.65
5+ 2 points win
10+ 1 point win.
5.40 Notts: PALADIN
All Nottingham: 7 wins from 28 runs for LSP of 8.27
Nottingham 3yo: 3 wins from 11 runs for LSP of 4.37
All 3yo: 6 wins from 26 runs for LSP of 2.18
All single star (*) rated: 14 wins from 69 runs for LSP of 11.65
5+ 2 points win
10+ 1 point win.
Enough for you?
Well no, MOYGLARE Stud Farm have a qualifier over at Dundalk
7.20: SPARKLING VIEW
All MultiAged: 7 wins from 12 runs for LSP of 15.77
All Dundalk: 1 win from 4 runs for LSL of 0.50
Dundalk MultiAged: 1 win from 3 ruins for LSP of 0.50
All '0' rated: 1 win from 5 runs for LSL of 1.50
5+ 1 point win
Note: Observant readers may have noticed that Godolphin's 3yo figures are different for Nottingham and Lingfield. This is, of course, due to the former being Turf and the latter AW
Heavy commitment today. |

Very disappointing especially as most were heavily backed:
Parlour Games 7th 7/1 to 6/1
Yaa Salam 3rd 11/2 to 7/2
Brailsford 12th (LAST!) 10/1 to 3/1 fav!!!!
Paladin 11th 9/1 to 5/1
Sparkling View (3rd of 7) 7/4 out to 15/8 fav was the exception.
5+
100 runners for 17 wins (17 seconds, 9 thirds) for LSP of 37.41 points.
10+
5 runners for 1 winner (2 seconds) for LSP of 1.00 point.
So, no celebrations as we hit the 100 mark but still a worthwhile profit being shown. Do not forget that the SPs are usually much shorter than early prices so the profit shown should really be much higher.
I am particularly worried about Godolphin whose results were too bad to be true.
No qualifiers for today. |

Mrs. J. S. BOLGER runs 3 today at her favourite Course.
2.25 Leopardstown:
MOVE TO STRIKE
and
SCEILG
Both
All Leopardstown: 9 wins from 40 runs for LSP of 20.75
All 'O' rated: 5 wins from 23 runs for LSP of 18.25
Leopardstown 2yos: 0 wins from 14 runs for LSL of 14
All 2yos: 1 win from 18 runs for LSL of 7.00
Those 2yo figures look pretty daunting but
5+
2 points to win each of the two. |

Now that the flat season is really upon us I'll be keeping up to date with this thread a lot more. Keep it up mate! _________________ "The problem with the future is that there are more things that could happen than will happen" - Plato (liberally paraphrased)

Well, the two 2yos could only finish 3rd and 4th of 7 thereby running in line with the unfavourable trends but LIGHT HEAVY wins comfortably at 3/1. Small loss on the three. I made a profit because I cut back on the 2yos due to their poor record.
5+
103 runners for 18 wins (17 seconds, 9 thirds) for LSP of 36.41 points.
10+
5 runners for 1 winner (2 seconds) for LSP of 1.00 point. |

Yes, things should liven up now - just hope our owners can keep up the good work. |

GODOLPHIN field 6 at Newmarket today:
1.50 PERIPHERY, 4.10 PIMPERNEL and MINIDRESS, 4.45 PEMBREY, 5.20 SHUJAR and YAA SALAM.
I have no stats for Godolphin at Newmarket (as opposed to Newmarket (July course)
All 3 yos: 6 wins from 28 runs for LSP of 0.12
All ** rated: 14 wins from 71 runs for LSP of 9.65
Periphery
**T rated: 0 wins from 1 for LSL of 1.00
All T rated: 7 wins from 25 runs for LSL of 6.14.
all the others
** rated 0 wins from 1 run for LSL of 1.00.
All discarded as under the required profit level. |

Sorry, the 5.05 Beverley should have read LIONROCK, which finished well down the field anyway. Similar fate for Captivity.
5+
105 runners for 18 wins (17 seconds, 9 thirds) for LSP of 32.41 points.
10+
5 runners for 1 winner (2 seconds) for LSP of 1.00 point.
All 6 GODOLPHIN runners were beaten, some badly, reinforcing the decision to discard them. I am becoming more convinced that something may be amiss with the runners from both their stables. Today's four runners (GODOLPHIN no longer qualify with these even at Newmarket) may or may not further increase my reservations. Let's see.
No qualifiers today. |

| Godolphin had a 6/1 winner today (from 4 at Nermarket), but their strike rate still looks very low. Swallow/spring? |

John P. MCMANUS
6.50 Wexford: LINKS COURSE
All at Wexford: 6 wins from 22 runs for LSP of 17.20
Wexford Chases: 4 wins from 9 runs for LSP of 17.20

Single star rating: 4 wins from 45 runs for LSL of 17.65;
5+

The same owner's Galianna (5.20) and Corbally Cross (6.20) are both discarded due to Wexford Hurdles: 1 win from 10 for LSL of 2.00 and All Hurdles: 4 wins from 49 runs for LSL of 19.75. Incidentally, Godolphin's Gold Rally (4.55 Newbury) does not qualify. |
