| I am starting a new thread which I hope will be favourably received by oblg members. When you see a horse in running which you feel that with better luck in running, jockeyship, draw, going etc might have won -flag it up for future reference.! The idea came to me when watching the 2.00 at Wolves with no sound and not having had a bet in the race. I observed Green Pirate apparently cantering over the field albeit in last place. He came so wide into the straight he was almost on the far rail yet ran on to good effect to finish third. I dont think he needed an extra forlong though he would have won in 50 more yds. It was 7f but he was drawn 12 of 12 -horrible. I am not George Bakers biggest fan and was surprised he came so wide but think that the draw did for him. Next time out??? |

I dont't post very often but I like this thread.
I was waiting for Mozakhraf to race again after its 2nd to Atlantic Story. It's running over the same distance , I thought it needed further but the trainer has changed jockey to a claimer who he won with yesterday. It has been backed off the boards on the exchanges last night into 5/6 |

Hi - yes great idea for a thread
Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to be able to notify you of runners (not yet anyway)
So for now I think we'll all just have to do our bit and let the thread know if we spot one of these running
Cheers |

Hi
Great Idea this! Emjay
I do something similar for my own Horse Alert's so I will take on this task and will set the Horse Alert with brief comment and author (It will help if you highlight the brief comment you want to use as the reminder!).
I will then post them onto the Selections site when I receive the e-mailed Horse Alert.
I have put the 3 mentioned horses Green Pirate (Emjay) and Marko Jadeo (donvito222) Mastership (bahasspoken) on today.

Hi RockLobster
Your horse was running today and you alerted everyone yourself?
What was the point of putting it on for the future as we wern't to know how it would fare today?
As it was you tipped it nicely, but is there a reason you expect it to win next time out?
Hope this explains what I was trying to do?

Yeah i agree midas, apologies. Twas a bit stressed today.
I have another horse that you can put on your list if you want, its Kingsmaite. I put it on my list last week, ran third behind Sentiero Rosso out of a bad draw at Southwell and I think it has a good chance nxt time out. |

Not an unlucky horse in running just one that will win another 2/3 before the handicapper catches up with it. Not sure if this is the type of thing you want.
The horse was Market Watcher in the 2m race at Wol last Saturday. On my timing system I had the horse 24/25 lengths superior on times to its opponent. Waited all day for it and had a £100 Win (hoping to pay for some of Christmas). It won in a common canter, unfortunately it was returned 1/2. Still some of Christmas expenses.
It is listed for the Wol 5.00 on Saturday, if it runs it only has Billich to beat. Can win a few more before handicappers grip is felt, although price will be short.
Had my £50 profit on MOZAKHRAF at Evs today so I now have £100 of Christmas expenses. I have 2 Neices and 1 Nephew so I need another £200 therefore Market Watcher will be hammered on Saturday!
