Re Dr Koukash - I regret that I got carried away yesterday. His horses are now considered for betting but subject to a further qualification. There must be minimum 3 winners, 14% SR and a 10% LSP IN A CATEGORY to qualify. Either Course runs, age runs or overall age runs. A (All Aged) is only 2 from 4. Hope this is clear.
My figures:
ZZZ KOUKASH Dr. Marwan
Brighton A W9/1-W2/1*-L
Chester 3 W9/4*
Yarmouth A L
*Tj W2/1*
* W9/1L
0Tc W9/4*

Thanks JM. As always, your info is interesting.
Well, yesterday saw Dr. Koucash bring us crashing back to reality BUT one winner was there and his overall stats are still very favourable.
In fact there were three winners overall:
Colour Vision - Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum - 11/2
Masamah - Dr. Marwan Koucash - 9/2
Green Destiny - Saleh Al Homaizi & Imad Al Sagar - 6/1.
Koukash also went close with a 16/1 third and a 9/2 second so not a bad haul. 3 wins from 12 produced a LSP of 7.00.
UPDATE OF OVERALL FIGURES:
32 qualifiers for 7 winners (SR 21.87%) and a LSP of just 0.40.
No qualifiers today so I can recouperate after a hectic Saturday. Back tomorrow. OOOPS - SORRY PLEASE SEE BELOW

ZZZ KOUKASH Dr. Marwan
Brighton
A W 9/1- W 2/1*- L
Chester
A 3 16/1 2 9/2 L
3 W 9/4*- L L
Yarmouth
A L
York
A W 9/2 L L L
That is 4 from 14 (SR 28%) and LSP of 7.75 (ROI 55%), which would do for me for ALL my betting!!!!

So sorry. There is just one today after all. I have very little on this guy.
4.10 Perth - Definite All Star - Martin Lynch.
Regret error but I am rectifying it very quickly. |

Just 4 today but, on paper (i.e. no special stats, just personal judgement), they look to have reasonable chances. Best, this time with trainer stats to support, may well be the last one.
6.50 Kill PLUTORIUS - Michael Tabor (4/1)
7.30 Kill LONG LIVE THE KING - Michael Tabor (5/1) > (4/1)
7.50 Wolv MILES OF SUNSHINE - R. J. Hodges (owner/trainer) (11/1)
8.20 Wolv AL BURKAAN - Ahmad Al Shaikh (13/8)
Prices not yet available - may drop back later. DONE
Footnote: I see the bookies agree about Al Burkaan.

Surprised Brave Beauty owner 6-16 at Perth one runner yesterday and
Kings Realm as owner/trainer 3-4 one runner 8/1 never made this thread
yesterday. |

Hi Blueboy. A bit late to raise this when the statistics have gone from the RP site.
However, I suspect that the first one may have had a LSP of under 10% and the second one could not qualify as the minimum number of wins must be 5. That is only one per year! |

As a starting point a qualifier must have had at least 5 winners over the past 5 seasons and must be posting a SR of at least 14% (1 in 7 winners).
Then there must be a level stakes profit of at least 10% on stakes. This is, of course, based on individual course rather than all courses. |
Posted by EyeNoAgain on the 1st page, presumably Sean Gallagher didn't make the cut because of his poor LSP returns despite an impressive SR so mostly short priced favs winning for him...And Alison Thorpe presumably didn't make the cut die to not enough qualifying runners but if she keeps on like that then is sure to make the list soon _________________ If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it's not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever. |

Thanks jimny2
I see that we both posted at the same time.
I am pretty sure that our explanation is correct and it is just a case of the poster not reading qualifying rules.
Yes, to your prediction. I really think that the 5 wins rule is important as it is, after all, only one win per year. Even that is too small really but I had to start somewhere. Hopefully, some owners can increase their interests and the hope is that 5 will lead to more as they progress thereby making them worth following. That is the logic, flawed or otherwise. |
