Windsor – 6.10
Interakt – 4/1 NAP
Ran well last time out over an inadequate 5 furlongs, staying on strongly in the final furlong to finish 1 length behind Cardinal. At his best over today’s distance of 6 furlongs and likes to get his toe in so will be suited by the soft ground. Has been running in class 3 and 4 races on his last three starts and is dropped to class 5 today for the first time since his last win in May. This is also an apprentice race and I always like following those horses with good apprentices on in these races and you don’t get much better than Harry Bentley who also knows this horse really well. Has a good draw in stall 10 (better to be drawn high at Windsor on soft ground) and looks set to run a good race today. Favourite’s chance. |

7:50 Ripon Miami Gator @ 25/1 (Eachway NAP)
"Miami Gator is a big price here but he is the one that I am going to take a chance on here today. He is an eight time winner on the turf, a winner on soft ground and a seven time winner over the mile trip, he comes here to Ripon for the first time but he has a good record of a 60% strike rate (6-10) round right handed tracks. He seems to pick up most of his wins at this time of the year and goes well in races open to 3yo or elder. He drops 2lb in the handicaps since his latest effort at Carlisle which means that he is now 4lbs higher than his win at Hamilton two starts ago and now only 3lbs higher than his career high win. He is up in class today and is yet to win at this level but for me off this mark round this track over this trip he has a sneaky chance of sealing a surprise victory today and I believe a very good chance of placing so at these odds I will be backing him eachway and hoping for the best."

My Monday Afternoon Selections
Today I am only going putting a bet in 2 races as Ayr looks a very tough card today.
2.30 Haajes 4/1 5pt win NAP and Hazelrigg 11/4 2pt win saver
I firmly believe this is a 2 horse race today and Hazelriggs and Haajes form behind Judge & Jury at York look's the best form on offer by far and Haajes is s much better off at the weights today with a claimer helping even more and should reverse placing with Hazelrigg and take this race it really should but Hazelrigg will not go down without a fight for a bang inform yard and thats why having a small saver bet on that horse and a bigger bet on the wel treated Haajes, looks the best option here I believe it is out of these 2 horses.
3.00 Lady Bluesky 9/4 and Acknowledgement 10/1
It is a tricky race this one but Lady Bluesky, looks the best horse in the race for me I think it will stay the trip fine and handle the ground, I think alot of the others wont stay but Acknowledgement atracted support last time and flopped but is obviously capable of better and todays trip could suit this horse alot more it had a spell over the jumps and wont be short f stamina and the ground will be ideal has form on very soft ground and I can see this horse and Lady Bluesky battling out the finish. |

Ayr Trixie:
2.30 Head Space 5/2, Won in impressive style over this course 17 days ago, pushed back down to 5f today, he's had a win at Newcastle over this trip 2 months ago and shows good form in this class along with a yard on fire too. My concern for the competition is there is little expierence/form in better races and Head Space has both and ground shouldn't be an issue.
3.30 Chookie Royale 3/1, NAP A few unsuccesful trips over 7f he's stepped back down to 6f in which he's enjoyed good runs over the last couple of seasons with a 1,2,2,4. His 4th 2 runs ago was in a tougher field at Hamilton, finishing well and being in touching distance with the horses ahead. His best runs on the turf seem to suggest he prefers ground with cut in it and he's showed signs of producing the form he found last year.
5.00 Regal Acclaim 7/4, Much prefers the soft ground after finishing a tight 2nd behind Mick Slates 22 days ago on good/firm ground. Mick Slates is given a 3lb rise and much prefers fast ground. His form in this class is great with 1,2,1 both wins coming over 7f and the 2nd being at Ayr last September.

3.30 Ayr
Midnight Dynamo 10/1 NAP
A very weak race and many exposed animals in the field but i see a improver in lightly raced Midnight Dynamo Midnight Dynamo has only had 11 races and won two of them but is on a winning mark and was well fancied last time out and this looks easier Had two runs this season and never ran bad on seasonal opener and needed the run but faded into fifth Was fancied last time out but hampered a few times at crucial stages so ignore that run On a winning mark when last winning this time last season and step in trip should help and will be finishing fast" |

4.00 Ayr
Parley 11/1 NB
Parley looked decent in two runs for Zarooni last season but joined Mark Johnston and won on first start beating Zaina who is decent and franked form Disappointed a few starts after but was steamed into last time on handicap debut but flopped but will give it another try especially at these odds and will be shorter come the off Johnston horses always often improve in handicaps and been popping up at big odds the last few months and horse should improve for the extra two furlongs and Johnston horses do improve when changing trip Was backed last time like it could not lose but something must have been amiss and looks value today " |

7.50 Ripon
Snow Bay 16/1 E/W
"Al Muheer was well backed last saturday but just got beat and turned out quickly here so connections must he confident I like Snow Bay who looks over priced to me and looked like running back into form two starts ago and looking really well handicapped Has a cracking record here at Ripon and in five starts placed four times winning once and second three times and last start here got second to useful Emilio Largo Last win come here off just a 2lb higher mark and form has dipped but been placed off much higher marks and hopefully a return here again will bring back another win" |

7.00 Rosco - Imaginationrunwild.
Didn't exactly get the best of runs last time out but still finished in a respectable position. Swing in the weights with the winner that day and I think there is reason for optimism that the gap can be bridged. Trainer's in good form and the jockey continues to impress on a daily basis. 6/1 available and going Each Way might not be the worst thing I'll do tonight. |

Monday Night Selections
6.50 Penny Garcia
Easterbys, horses are flying and this horse ran well last time behind a horse that look's pretty good the race was recorded in a ok time and I think Penny Garcia, has every chance tonight for a inform trainer. 5/2
7.20 Arley Hall
Ran very well last time at chester behind some decent sorts and if handling the ground tonight has too have a big chance and the yard are back in form I just hope and prey it handles the ground. 5/2
7.50 Koo & The Gang E/W
The Brian Ellison, horse was withdrew last time because of heavy ground yet races tonight on soft ground hmm!!!??? very strange I think it does handle the ground and is looking very well treater it's run at chester was not a bad run and the Ellison, horses are doing ok getting the odd winner here and there and usually at bigish prices and Koo & The Gang, look's the type that could pop up in a tricky race or atleast grab a place and I will chance some small stakes E/W on it.
8.20 See Clearly
A C&D winner on soft ground and yard in amazing form and has a nice draw and 14/1 look's overpriced I think has a really good chance tonight.
8.50 Quiet Route and Moorgate Lad
Quite Lad, the Ellison runner is by Manduro and should stay well and cant see it having a problem with the ground or trip tonight and should go close.
Moorgate Lad, has not raced in along time but the last time it did it ran ok on softish ground and could have a squeak at a big price I only put a small bet on it though, it's 66/1 |
