Ree's Rascal 2.45 Windsor.
A very interesting 1 mile h'cap at Windsor featuring some in form older horses running against promosing 3 y os.
Asatir the Godolphin horse has 2 wins to his name but has it to prove in this race from 89, its last win in a slowly run small field affair hasn't worked out well and as the likely short priced fav will pass over. Razorbill looks just as interesting and i prefer this one of the 3 y os.
Of the older horses Oriental Scot is at the top of his game but will require a career best performance to win this, and along with the vastly improved Starwatch, has it all to do under the welter burden off 9-13.
The horse i think that is sure to run his race is Ree's Rascal who since his 3 y o days has run 4 times at Windsor with form figures of 1222 on going ranging from soft to Good. He won a very competative h'cap at Newbury lto from 79 and gets a 3lb rise for that win on G/F.
Ryan Moore takes over from Pat Cosgrave and a strong showing is anticipated.
"I think Jungle Beat is way better then what it showed last time and looks over priced to bounce back here Looked a very promising horse on debut when beating Farhaan easily and horse has run in listed and group races since and the fifth home Rugged Cross ran in the Derby so maiden form is strong Sent into listed company second start and disappointed really but needed the run badly after so long off but form of the race has worked out well with winner Stipulate running crackers since and second and third Mister Music and Producer have also boosted form Tried handicap company last time but flopped again but hated the soft ground and will give the horse another chance today and form of that race looks good with Thomas Chippendale winning a group two since and Fennell Bay has won two on the spin since Jungle Beat is better then what it has been showing "
As jmstocka highlighted,Here Comes When (IRE) 170,000 euros Danehill Dancer colt out of Quad's Melody,in Salisbury,s rather competetive maiden opener has been somewhat caned from 11/2 to currently 5/2.That is highly significant as Andrew Balding has a very healthy strike rate with his 2 y/o at the track 28% for around 40 points profit in the last 5 years.
There are a couple of other newcomers to note, though i believe Richard Hannons Stiff Upper Lip (IRE) Sakhee's Secret colt out of Just In Love should not be overlooked, but his RED REFRACTION is the one that interests me most.
A Red Clubs (IRE) colt out of Dreamalot (ENG) FALBRAV (IRE) he will have to improve today to beat One Word More, but bear in mind Hannon has won 4 of the last 7 renewals of this race, and he looks a proper horse, very professional in his work stated on the Middleham Park website
.Dane O,Neill takes the ride,as Hughesie goes to Windsor.Red Refraction is currently 8/1 with Betfred,Stiff upper Lip 14/1,i,m dutching them win only. EDIT I have a free bet so on RED REFRACTION E/W to cover.

This 3yo+ handicap of just over a mile looks a good field with a few catching the eye will start in card order first one is
ORIENTAL SCOT who’s last three runs have been some of his best efforts lately and has run on good to soft good firm at 1mile and 1mile 1 furlong in which he won a class 3 handicap on the 25th of last month on a mark of 82 but his highest winning mark is 83 and runs with a weight of 9-13 5lbs more then his last run in what he finished in 2nd place jockey good booking with tom Queally in the saddle and looks like picking up some place money.
REES RASCAL in his last ten starts has had only one win what happens to be his last time out at Newbury what was a close finish only getting to the line by 3 quarters of a length with a nose in third by YOJIMBO who could not keep up strides in the last few yards of the race and today’s trip is 60yards more then last time so should not be no problems of a reversal with rees rascal but has a fare few close seconds and knows how to fight for the line.
JUVENAL has only had six starts placing second on last two runs at class 5 company at distance of 6furlongs Richard hannon must believe a step up in trip is needed but may find this a bit tough reasoning for making it a eye catcher is because makes a good laying bet always being beaten by a couple of lengths last time is only time it has been that close so may be worth laying.
But out of the three mentioned my money will have to be on REES RASCAL and because of the last four races of the Betfred casino handicap none have been over the age of three all have come from low draws and carried no more then 9-6 which would rule out oriental Scot by weight and draw juvenal age and under weight. But do believe oriental Scot will be in the top three.
