Ascot 3.25
LIGHTNING CLOUD
What a lovely name for a horse especially a grey. I wanted to go for Tariq Too but he has only raced in Class 3 and 4 so he was out, Brae Hill only raced on good ground so he is also out so it came down to Lightning Cloud as he has been consistent winning 5 of his 10 races and winning one when he was fresh after winter Lay off. Amy Ryan his jockey has won on him twice and he has won at this course, this distance and this Class. The majority of these runners have won in lower classes but Lightning Cloud has won at this level. Trainer Kevin Ryan in average form this last two weeks but daughter Amy in good form with 3 wins and a 3rd last fortnight but their SR is 16% overall in 2012.
Good luck all |

PRAVDA STREET - 3.25 ASCOT
Course and distance form can be very significant here and this one ticks both of those boxes. He ran well here on good to soft ground so will like today's conditions. many of these will struggle to get home. They switched him back to the flat after a try over hurdles and the first time up run at Thirsk will set him up for this and I would expect an improved performance. He has form to beat many of these off this mark and looks a big price considering the facts. Well drawn and looks a decent Each Way prospect. |

EXCELLENT GUEST
impossible to be confident about anything in this very tough race but the selection has a good track record. he is usually gets in the shake up, runs well in big fields. will act on ground. decent price and will get a run for your money |

After looking at the 2nd skin storage race , the first thing it made me want was a 2nd SKINFUL ! Then where would the pin finish up
Fortunately I am playing bridge in Oxford and can easily avoid ever having to watch the race.
Having run 25f at Warwick tonight , Mudita Moment must be considered somewhat doubtful to reappear so soon. Several of the others could just turn up and win , but nominating one to do so is a different matter.
CADOUDALAS showed some of his old form last time out over fences and with the benefit of that run , a drop in class and his much lower hurdles mark may prevail here. His record over hurdles from this sort of mark is quite good ( certainly in the context of this race ).
The going can be as soft as it likes , he will enjoy it all the more. As far as the trip is concerned , he has been running over much shorter distances while chasing but now reverts to longer trips where his stamina will come into play.
Tom Scudamore rode him then and to his last win but is retained to ride probably the main danger here. Paul Moloney is a capable deputy and takes his first ride for the yard. _________________ One-a-day history

BABYSITTER
Former hunter chaser / also winning point to pointer, joined Twiston-Davies and showed good deal of improvement over hurdles.
After winning a novice hurdle he was only just touched off in Grade 3 hurdle.
Only had two other runs for Twiston-Davies ( both disappointing efforts ) before owners switched yards to Jonjo O'Neils.
All runs for Jonjo so far have been over fences, despite winning a novice chase, Babysitter has never looked happy over fences and I'm surprised its taken the connetions so long, to make the switch back to hurdles.
Just over a stone lighter in the weights, from his 2nd place finish over hurdles, although that was just over 2 years ago.
Wearing cheekpieces for the first time for his return to the smaller obstacles.
Jonjo's got good record at the track, also in good form at the moment and I'd be happy to give Babysitter a chance to get back to form over hurdles. |

Mudita Moment
If he shows up then he might go well, has bumped in to two lately who where
both in form horses and ran well both time, this trip should suit better and the
ground holds no fears, been left on same mark for last run and still open to
some improvement, |

2nd Skin Storage King Brachain Handicap Hurdle - 2m 7f.
Oscarslad......from Paul Nicholls yard in Ditcheat, Somerset the 6yo is only having it's sixth race of it's career having run three novice hurdle races without finding the frame over 22f and two 23f races but on it's handicap hurdle debut it won over 22f at Wincanton in March g/s had to fight and stayed on under strong pressure to lead final 100yds winning by 1.1/4 lengths , Paul upped the next handicap race to 3m but hit a couple of hurdles and could not stay in last furlong , The yard are bring it back to 23f which it's still to find the frame but hopefully under the power of Daryl Jacob guideing it round for his third ride in a row onboard , |

Worcester 3:50.
RICARDO'S CHANCE.
This is a previous course winner with a decent jockey on board and comes from the Twiston-Davies stables. This horse will need to improve to see out this distance but should go well on the ground which should help. If held up, he could easily run in to a place. It may very well improve enough to challenge (TT), who is weighted to win this. |
