WAFFLE

Back down to the mark which he ran second (to Deacon Blues) in last year Wokingham at R Ascot, he was raised 7lb for that and struggled the rest of the season. All is best form has been with cut in the ground (won or placed in half his races on G/S). Todays draw of 25 could be an advantage, only slight concern is this still 6f which could find him out as all his best form has been over 5f or easy 6f but there is a good chance that as he gets older he will get further. Barron often pops up with these hcap winners (Colonel Mak and Long Awaited this season already).

ALBEN STAR

THIS PROGRESSIVE HORSE CAN GIVE RICHARD FAHEY ANOTHER WIN AT NEWMARKET, HE WILL HANDLE THE GROUND AS HIS FAMILY BREEDING SUGGESTS. NOT PUT UP IN THE WEIGHTS FOR HIS LAST RUN WHICH WAS OVER A UNSUITABLE SEVEN FURLONGS, TODAYS SIX IS SPOT ON. WITH THE CHAMP ON BOARD TO STEER HIM HOME AT A GOOD PRICE OF AROUND 10/1

maarek

irish raider who is near the top of the weights,he will love the ground and is a winner this season, that win was given a boost when the runner up ran very well when winning a good race at tipperary last week, comes from off a strong pace which he will surely get here and the jockey on board is ridibg full of confidence at the moment.

ESCAPE TO GLORY

One of the bottom weights and carrying nearly a stone less than on any previous occasion. Has the delightful Hayley in the saddle for the first time, so sure to get a good ride. Runs on any sort of ground, so the softer going should be OK. He has a good outside draw. Yet to win over the 6f, but has come close on a couple of occasions.

SEAL ROCK
Will act on the going as it won on soft going twice, also has good course and distance form winning two at Newmarket. The jockey has winning form on the horse so knows it well. Won first time out this season up at ponte and looked to have a bit in hand and can put back to back wins as proven when winning three on the bounce last term. Has won in class two so it looks likely to figure as it got ideal conditions. The trainer has been amonst the winners recently so all in all I am hoping the selection can get me some points.

Newmarket 15:50

Alben Star

Can Alben Star make his presence felt in such a big field, I suppose after missing the whole of 2011 he showed his abilities by winning a pair of 6f handicaps at Wolverhampton on the Polytrack this year.I hope his change to this surface may be just what he needs to be regarded as a promising turf sprinter.Paul Hanagan is well regarded as one of the best flat jockeys and today should give a good show for Richard Fahey.

his only win was a 5 furlong race at leicester 4 years ago on good to soft ground but he has run well in a lot of top class handicaps over the years the best only beaten a neck by deacon blues in the wokingham at royal ascot last year.the top trainer d baron has booked irish jockey f berry so if given a bit of luck in running wont be far away

Newmarket 3.50

MAAREK

Was going to try a different strategy today by dismissing what I thought had no chance then going throught the others and picking one then going back to the first one I rejected as they are usually placed Cheeky but I will try that another day as I took quite a fancy to Maarek when I did my quick shifty last night. Trainer David Peter Nagle has only got a small yard so he must fancy his chances by bringing Maarek all this way from Ireland. Maarek has had an outstanding season so far with 2 wins and a 2nd by a 1/4 length out of 3 races so definitely race fit and an unknown quantity as far as British horses are concerned when it comes to tactics. Loves the big fields with most of his wins on them in all ground conditions. Jockey J P O'Brien is in amazing form only being out of the placings 4 times in 19 races in last 14 days with 8 wins and 3 2nds.

Good luck all Fingers Crossed

3.50 NEWMARKET

DOC HAY

Selection likes to a bit of juice in the ground and his last 4 runs he hasnt been out of the first three. recent solid run will of brought him spot on for this race. 4 and 5 year olds have a terrific record in race and last 8 winners of race have carried no more than 9st1.

Going for Dungannon in this race, backed this horse a few times year and got a few good runs for my money. Not sure how this will run first time up this year but won in class and J fortune in the saddle today. Likes good to soft going and a decent e/way shot if fully wound up for this first time up.

Not going to make a mistake and edit my last post! cost me 62 points on the first day. These races don't get any easier nor smaller. In my post it should read 'last year.'
