Returns to here after a couple of runs away at Kempton and Lingfield and interesting with Silvestre De Souza getting the leg up ,Good record for trainer and selection was succesful here Two runs ago when winning a 1m1f handicap ..... Front runner who acts over Seven as well can lead from the front and prove hard to peg back under todays rider _________________ NEVER WORRY ABOUT LOSER,S THEY ONLY BRING YOU ONE CLOSER TO YOUR NEXT WIN

JULIUS GEEZER
Ran well last time on AW debut after 6 months off and that race should have brought him on. Was contesting class2 & 3 events for the most of last year so should find the grade a little easier. Slight concern about the trip but every chance that as he gets older he can get further. Dascombe has a good record at the track with his older horses (24%). This should go well at a double figure price. _________________ Horse Racing One A Day Winner April 11

My Kingdom
The way My Kingdom has raced in his last two starts shows he is ahead of his mark and is in good form at the moment over six furlongs. I feel that Ian Williams' charge is well handicapped and with four turf wins over this trip proves a good gallop today should see him win. |

3.20 Wolverhampton
My Kingdom
Has been in good form this year, in the frame on all 3 races, winning one here over 6 furlongs with Jamie Spencer in the saddle. Has run twice at Wolverhampton is 1 win from 2 races. Jamie Spencer in the saddle again and has a S/R here of 18.7%. Mark raised 3lb seems fair enough from LTO. Has a good draw in stall 7.
Trainer Ian Williams S/R here 29%, jockey/trainer combination 22.5%. |

I Confess.....From Geoffrey Harker yard in Thirkleby, N Yorks where he runs a string off 26 horses where he has 6 for the AW campaign ,
I Confess came from D. Evens yard last year and has already won here over today's distance a track thats it's likes as most of it's wins came here,The horse just loves racing as in the 5 years rules racing it's ran 87 times 54 runs on AW with 13 wins and 16 times placed ,
The yard has bookrd jockey Silvestre De Sousa to ride it for the first time . |

JULIUS GEEZER - 3.20 WOLVERHAMPTON
Tom Dascombe has already got himself on a very good strike rate at Wolverhampton and is a stable on the up. The run here last month should have put him spot on today and interesting that they step him up to 7f now. Has dropped a few pounds in the weights and could be well in today. Richard Kingscote has a 20% strike rate for the yard on this track. |

15:20 WOLVERHAMPTON
It would be an absolute miracle for me to accumulate enough points in this final week to be able to get competitive come the final day given ive struggled to find anything throughout the entire month, though quitting is not my game and miracles do happen (occasionally). The Ian Williams trained My Kingdom is the one seemingly to beat given his recent form; the step up to seven furlongs, back on this surface is sure to bring out a positive effect especially how Jamie Spencer is reunited with the gelding; his ridding style is a huge positive for a horse that as a decent finishing kick, like when last seen here. He would have been the selection today, though like already stated, points is the issue here this week, leaving his 5/2 price tag unbackable (for me at least). Other than the favourite, the race appears wide open; finding one that can run into a place though is easier said than done. One that is striking to the eye to possibly running well today is the Declan Carroll trained Amazing Star ridden by Kieren Fallon. The jockey booking it’s self stands out to being a positive, especially on how well Kieren Fallon rides the course, a profitable jockey at the track over the past five seasons, boasting a promising twenty two percent strike rate. Though still relatively unexposed on the artificial surface, Amazing Star comes to the race with a decent strike rate of two from eight as well as holding a course and distance win to his name. He’s five pounds higher than winning two starts ago, for which he faces a career high achievement if he’s to get his head in front though the task in hand is not totally against him and he’s shown enough in previous turf efforts to warrant respect. Other than the favourite, it’s difficult to find a positive against the selection. Obvious dangers appear to be All Right Now and Yankee Storm given there recent efforts compared to there current marks. Both act well at seven furlongs suggesting no reason to why they shouldn’t run there race; that can also be said about the outsider Al Muheer who takes a welcome drop in class, leaving him on a competitive mark. A wide open race for which my tentative vote goes the way of Amazing Star.
AMAZING STAR

INDIAN ART
He had a good win here LTO and has won over this distance. His move to the Kirk stable and change to the AW has provided some good results. Doyle takes the reins for the first time and he has been placing nicely, recently. The stable is having a good season, at the moment. He is slightly down in the weights from LTO. A horse with chances, but does need to be at the top of his form. |

RESTLESS BAY goes well round here and Reg Hollinshead is not averse to decent priced winners at the track.
George Baker is a class jockey often overlooked by many. He has a good SR and LSP on AW rather hidden by significantly inferior figures on turf.
Although not having won at anything further than 6f , the selection ran well off a mark of 77 at this trip in December ( his only previous venture at 7f ) following a course win ( all 4 career wins have been at Wolverhampton ) at 6f off 73. He is only 1 lb above that now ( if not taking into account the overweight due to being tipped by JMStocka AND myself ).
I think the last ( one of the few times ) we have selected the same horse was Copper Canyon which won at 20/1 on the 9th of Feb. Whether that is a good omen , or lightning waiting to strike twice , only time will tell ! |

MY KINGDOM SHOWED HIS LIKING FOR HERE WHEN GETTING UP CLOSE HOME TO BEAT WAABEL. ONLY FOUR POUNDS HIGHER TODAY AND WILL TAKE A LOT OF BEATING OF THIS MARK. SO THIS SEVEN FURLONG EVENT SHOULD BE PERFECT FOR MY KINGDOM. THE WILLIAMS YARD ARE IN FINE FORM OF LATE AND JAMIE SPENCER CAN STEER THIS HORSE TO VICTORY _________________ ALL WEATHER RATINGS MK 2

Woverhampton 3.20
AMAZING STAR
Amazing Star is one of the few here with experience at this class and won his penultimate race here in a class 5 race but by only a length and a half but is up 5lb from that race but is down from most of his recent races. Last race was a class 4 but is down a lb from that one. Was to be had at 11's earlier but is already coming in to 7's. Has Kieron Fallon on board so that should be enough of a recommendation (took me ages to spell that one and I am good at spelling!!). Declan Carrol about 50% comp points in last fortnight but Fallon has only ridden for him 3 times. Has won twice and 3rd 3 times in his 8 AW outings so obviously likes the surfaces including at Class 4 and Class 3.
Good luck all |
