14:20 PONTEFRACT
The three that come into the race holding the most wins on turf are First Class Favour, Cara’s Request and Wisemans Diamond. All currently trade in double figures with First Class Favour the outsider of the three. Wisemans Diamond is just one of two who comes into the race holding course and distance form, and the only one of the three to have won at the course whilst only four pounds higher than her latest win. Cara’s Request holds the best form in the race and comes here with strong claims off a mark of seventy though previous experience suggest he may need this run off the back of a break. Shirley Teasdale takes the position in the saddle and her recent rides suggest she’s capable of ridding winners, so she appears good for seven pound claim. The filly First Class Favour as taken a hike down the weights; from a career high of eighty seven, to her current mark of sixty four. She as four career turf wins to her name from twenty five races, which does bold well, though she as yet to find the winners enclosure in eighteen months and as yet to win beyond seven furlongs despite having several chances to do so. It’s probably best to leave her alone today, especially as she makes her return from a break.
From the three with the best turf form statistics, it’s probably a safer option to take the Paul Midgley trained mare Wisemans Diamond. Having already stated she holds course and distance form, her 1,2,3 finishes on turf reads 17 from 40, a 42.5% strike rate. She runs off a three lower mark today than her highest winning mark and is just four pounds higher than her last winning mark. She holds the advantage of a run this season; finishing three lengths third of eight behind Maz at Wolverhampton, four weeks ago; a performance that was creditable despite the stables poor run of form. She as a lot more in place of a big run this afternoon than the majority of her rivals, and her price at present as a look of generosity about it.
WISEMANS DIAMOND

WISEMANS DIAMOND
should be cherry ripe for this race after decent latest run, is drawn nice and low which is ideal at ponty. Nicely hcapped and a course and distance winner which is a big plus. Trainer started campaign well at nice odds should run well |

CALL TO REASON
Won over the distance and looks like it perfers going with a bit of give underfoot and he should get that going. won at Newmarket and Southwell last time out and winners at southwell perform best on the turf with some give. Spencer up, hmmm not my favourite jock but he has won 3 times for the trainer from his last 6 rides. The selection has had a break since its last win and if race fit it should run into a place at least as its won 2, 2nd in two and 3rd twice which is a 60% win and place strike rate from a total of ten runs. Fingers crossed I can get a winner but those are as rare as finding gold in my back garden

Ahh, great! I posted the wrong horse here. In today's racing discussion forum I said First Class to finish 2nd and it indeed finished 2nd I missed 44 points simply :x I need some points badly before the gap worsens  |

Oriental Scot
Ok this is now, probably should stick with me Prince Of Burma but what
the hell, horse can go well fresh has good course form as not been worse than
2L of the 3 races hes been here but won one, won't mind the ease in the ground
and mark is just about ok, good jockey aboard and hopefully run well. |

Robemaker
Consistant type who has been running well in this class and will appreciate the cut in ground. Buick returns to the saddle today and he is the only jockey to win on this Oasis Dream colt. Gosden yard is in fine form, so expect this to run well fresh. Still lightly raced and could have a good year as a 4yo.
