| In the 3.00 at Yarmouth I really like the look of Barwick who interestingly drops in trip to 1m today which should suit having shown promise over this distance on 3rd start at Chester when 2nd out of 8 only beaten by a distance of 1 3/4 lengths to Captain Bertie who is a pretty usual horse and despite Barwick being keen that day still manged to run really well. Ever since then the horse was upped in trip to 1m2f and hasn't seem to be performed that well and I believe the drop back to 1m today is the key to get this horse winning. |

Richard Lee trained Highway Code joins the hurdling action after a 48 days break. He got 14-3-3-2 record in hurdle. He mostly ran in 2m-2m1f races. He got 2 wins and 1 second from 4 starts in Class 3 races. His last 2 starts were disappointing maybe because he is bored of running at the same distance again and again I was just joking I think it's because last 2 starts were at Class 2 and he may had found it too difficult. Drop back to Class 3 and step-up to 2m4f may help him to progress further. Today's good ground will suit him as he had won on good, soft and heavy grounds before. Lee's stable got this season 13% SR (6-47) with hurdlers. In last 5 seasons, his stable got here 13% SR (9-67) @ LSP +8.00. Sam Twiston-Davies will be in the saddle for the first time. This season he got 11% SR (29-264) in hurdle. Sadly, in last 8 starts he didn't get any wins or places. Hope he will get back in form in today's race. Highway Code, 6yo, will be in the field tongue-tied as usual. Definite EW claims!!! |
