GREENSWARD
Twice a winner at the track last September and although only 6th of 8 last time out it wasn't beaten far in a higher class than this. Well drawn in stall three and as the trainers runners are doing ok with 4 winners from the last eight, so hoping the selection can keep the stables good form going. Only 2lb higher than his last win here and winner over the distance at the track.
The jockey seems to be on a roll with his last three rides winning ones so I hoping he can boot this one home. |

16,50 Kempton Park
Greensward (GB)
Most crowded race in today meeting, runner with very good performance at today distance, many of them also win this C&D, Greensward is one of them and my odd for this race, very good experience at today distance, so far 3 wins from total of 4 in carrier was obtained at 7f standard, including one win of C&D in September last year, very similar today weight as then, 15 race from total of 19 run at today distance, is coming after finish in 6th place at Lingfield at 2nd class of race, now back at 3rd where obtained almost entire success in carrier. |

Ocean Legend
Ran 3 times this year and all here at Kempton. Came 1st 2 runs ago here at 9/1 odds from draw 5 which today is draw 7 which is abit high here but not too high as when won he was in draw 5. Casme 7th last time out but at alot higher weight then when he came the 1st of 9-5 and when 1st he was 9-0 and Back to 8-9 today and 6 of his 8 wins have been here. _________________ I stake low on bets.

PISCEAN
He has won over this distance, the last time he tried it, on the AW, last month. He has won on this course. He is a much better AW runner than on the turf. Baker has won on him, previously, also on the AW. He has been running in class 2 races, so the drop to class 3 is favourable. He retains his rating and only has a slight rise in the weight. I am hoping that this horse will actually finish a race for me. It seems a long time since I have had a finisher, let alone scored any points! |

KEMPTON 4.50
CROWN COUNSEL
Lots of if's but's and maybe's could sum it up for most of these runners and Crown Counsel is no exception, his last two runs on turf were poor to say the least but it may have been as a result of a long hard season for the horse in his first season on the racecourse, didn't run as a 2yo and had 19 races during his 3yo career, has been given a 4 month break and the Johnston yard are in great form at the moment with 9 wins from 27 runs in the past couple of weeks.
Crown Counsel did most of his racing over a mile last season, so will be sure to get this 7f trip and from stall 1, I wouldn't be surprised to see Joe Fanning employ the usual Johnston tactics and try and make all the running.
Johnston gets plenty of winners here, due to the number of runners he has at Kempton but its also his least successfull AW track and surprisingly enough for trainer that sends out so many winners, he is yet to get a sprint winner at Kempton in these higher grade sprints from 17 tries, only managed to get one placed so far.
So Crown Counsel isn't without a few of those if's or but's but on the balance of his overall form, excluding his last two runs, he does look well handicapped for his return to action.
He has only raced at Kempton once before but that was a much stronger race, he was 8lb higher in the handicap and he was only a 3yo taking on the older horses.
His breeding suggest that track should suit, he is by Invincible Spirit, who is top rated sire at the track in this race, with 48 winners winners at Kempton and a 15% strike rate. |

hold up horse has ran in a bit better company than this in his time his
form is holding up pretty well too noted running on in the closing stages in a class 2 last time over 6f is a course and distance winner so the time
to strike again looks nigh with a good jockey booking adding to my
confidence. |

Chilli Green
In good form of late, has had 15 AW races, winning 3 and placed in another 5. All 3 wins have been here, with 2 over today's distance. Mark down 4lb from LTO to 87, only 2lb higher than last win. Found 8f in a class 2 too much of a stretch LTO, leading but fading in the last furlong.
Cheek-pieces retained for the third time (won on 1st occasion worn). Jockey Darren E Egan in the saddle claiming another 7lb and in good form. New trainer Lee Carter 1/1 here. |

BRAVE ECHO
Quite a good race for the allweather considering we are at the peak of the jump season. Brave Echo loods to have a good chance today in the hands of Jim Crowley who is second top jock at this track this season. A course winner and a distance winner whose last run was at Meydan in a better race than this where he finished 9th beaten just over 6 lengths. That would give him a fair chance here today. |

FIVE STAR JUNIOR
Too many going for the obvious ones so I am taking on Five Star Junior as I think that this is his distance as he has been running on in all his latest races. He is down in class but a furlong further which I think he is crying out for. Has James Sullivan in the saddle who has been his regular jockey although his stats are nothing to shout home about but he has won on Five Star Junior early last year when he did have a good spell but a change in distance and class may promote an improvement in him. He has run in Class 1 races and not disgraced himself and he is down a lb from last time out, been placed off a higher mark.
Good luck all |
