I backed bradley on Friday @ 400/1 on BetDaq,watches him play a blinder then laid him all off on saturday(12.5) as I didn't think he could win!
So fast forward today and I'm feeling sick as a dog should have left some on him but I just couldnt see it...I just could see him winning.
This Is the worst bit of trading I have done....
Anyone with any similar tales? _________________ The safest way to double your money is to fold it over once and put it in your pocket. ~Kin Hubbard |

I think it was a good trade. You made good money
If you think Bradley was 40/1+ on Sunday night after his triple bogey made him 5 shot behind then all you really failed to do was back him then

did you leave some profit on him or none at all?
If you took level profit then I'd say it's a very good trade.
I'd love to back something at 400/1 then later see it at 12.5!
Did similar backing Nigeria U20's in the U20 World cup at 99/1 then 5 minutes later they were 12/1, traded out but left all profit on Nigeria more in hope than anything. |

It can be irritating when you Lay off a punt and it goes on to win at fancy prices. But if you are trading as a long-term strategy then stick with it for the long-term and take a view on progress longer term too.
Nothing wrong with going non-level green though, so maybe next time go greener on your win tip if it irritates you that much.
My worst trade? There has been a few but my selective memory can't remember the worst. |

400 to 12.5 is a fantastic trade. My worst trades are the ones where I had the chance to take a decent profit but let it go and then the selections fortunes went the other way and money was lost. _________________ -

Personally I hate the trading of draws at football,,, they are far too volatile and there is not enough movement if the underdog scores,,,, fast way to the poors house me thinks
it may be for some folks but it sure aint for me
cheers, Simster |

Specialising in a market or sport would be my take on trades. Learn fully how that market reacts to events.
In horse racing a faller leads to opportunities with other horses in the market, remembering they dont need to win just needing to trade at a bigger or smaller price than the price you took.
If you expect that at least 20% of your trades will go bad you need the 80% to give you a bigger enough profit to take that into account.
For me foreign football (non english) is a no no as i just dont have enough info to feel confident about the market.
This season laying perennial underacheivers Tottenham has been a disaster, although they are due an imminent blip. (N.B) _________________ Community Manager - Win A Forum Reward This Month.
