Couture to beat Vera-5/6
To me this looks an awesome bet,Couture may have lost his last 2 fights but they were against top 5 heavyweights.Back at light Heavy he will be a monster and has the perfect game for Vera.
Vera has decent stand up and good BJJ but Couture didnt get submitted by Big Nog so i very much doubt Vera will be able too.The only chance i see of Vera winning is by flash KO,but Couture has proven he has a solid chin and his only ever KO loss was against a prime Chuck Liddell.
I see a 3 round shut out and unanimous decision to Couture.
Kang to beat Bisping 10/11
Denis Kang is a little bit of an enigma,he has been fighting at the top of the middleweight tree for a few years and to his credit has looked good against some of the top MW's around and has picked up some victories, however he has a tendency to lose concentration and lose a fight from a winning position.He was dominating a much improved Alan Belcher in his debut UFC fight but got caught in a guillotine choke and he followed that loss with an unimpressive win against Xavier Foupa-Pokam.
Bisping on the other hand has been brought through slowly by the ufc and the only time he has fought top competion he has fell short(Evans and Henderson).His biggest win is against a one-dimensional Chris Leben and he used running tactics against him and seemed to gas late on.
Many people on here wont know much about Kang but he is better in every facet of the game than Bisping and unless Bisping has improved a massive amount in this training camp the only way i see him winning is by KO or dodgy decison(Hamill) and he has shown in his previous UFC fights that he does'nt have that one punch KO power.
The 10/11 on offer is an amazing bet and the fact that the British public dont know much about Denis Kang and will be backing the home town boy Bisping is the only reason its that good.
Gonna go big on that double!
Nights other fights:
Swick to beat Hardy-I see this fight being closer than the other two and the fact that swick is soo short odds im gonna stay away.
Brown to beat Wilks-Brown has been undefeated in the ufc and i think his wrestling will be too strong for Wilks,but again its a close match-up and maybe Wilks could get an early submission.
Pearson to beat Riley-Pearson is the underdog in this fight against the tough Arron Riley.I think Pearson will have the edge on the feet and if he keeps it standing long enough he will win a close decision.
In the undercard fights i go for:
Taylor big KO giving young Hathaway his first loss
Etim late TKO against Gugerty
Riddle close decison against Osipczak
Kelly with all action shutout of Siver
Gustafsson G'N'P win against Hamman
