Very tough game to call and hurts me but think Italy will win
I see goals and cards though
Young has been poor so far but is a threat and will support Rooney and Welbeck and is not the best at tackling and makes fouls
Young to score and be booked 22/1
Young to be booked 3/1 NAP
Cassano has impressed me and works hard and done so well after being out the majority of the season,he is Italys main goal threat and quicker then Lescott and Terry
Cassano to score and be booked 25/1
Cassano to be booked 11/2
Many feel this will be a boring defensive game but Italy struggle and Italian teams hate being attacked with pace and England will do that with Young,Walcott and Welbeck and see goals in the first half with the game being open
Both sides to score first half 11/2 |

Am backing Stevie Gerrard to score first goal, at 12/1
is great odds Stevie playing well, a goal will come very soon.
Yes it be tight game, hopefully we England will just sneak it.
Hopefully it want go to penalies..
Hope also Walcott and Ox Camberlian, will come on in later stages,
or if not one of them will start from the start. |

Don t normally bet on first goalscorer, but with us England
playing alot better under Roy Hodgson , he got Stevie
playing great again, and the others to .
Shame am not with Ladbrokes, thats a good offer if Stevie
score first goal or last.
Getting nearer can t wait Be nice if England win Euro , in Golden Jubliee
year to. |

Have to go for Italy tonight.
England have been very shaky in defence, have paniced in possession, have passed badly and created very few chances. The reason they are still here is because
a) they were in a weak group
b) they have taken a lot of their chances 29 shots, 16 on target, 5 goals.
To top it off though we got a good indication of the strength of the groups last night when the gulf in class was immense.
England's best hope is to get a draw, so Italy +0 @1.9 is a great bet for me.
On another note both teams have only had one 0-0 in their last 20 games so I am expecting at least one goal. |

I like the look of Parker to get booked today @ 2.75 general. There will be a lot of midfield action and as Gerrard has said, "Myself and Parker will have to control the midfield", (source: bbc sport). I obviously watched the Italians v our boys (Ireland) and I wasn't overly impressed with their play acting and crying. Parker hasn't been booked yet and this is an important game so he should be willing to take one here if need be and he always gives an honest account of himself and doesn't shirk challenges. A good price for the situation so I'm on. _________________ -

England V Italy
England were guilty of missing a couple of chances against the ukraine before rooney got his goal. Rooney himself missing the best chance of the game in the first have when he headed badly wide. I dont think they will be given as many chances tonight by an organised Italian defence.
I think this game may be a bit of a let-down if your looking for goal mouth action as I can see it being a stalemate. As its been pointed out both defences have looked steady and not leaked goals. Roy Hodgson would like nothing better than a 1-0 home win tonight but a draw looks far more likely as the Italians will be patient.
my selections
0-0 @ Ht @2.5
0-0 @ Ft @7.0
England to go through on penalties @ 9.0 |

| I also question myself that if i had seen Englands previous games and they were another country whether i would even be backing the draw. |
But if you were neutral what would you really think of Italy's last two unconvincing performances?

And I disagree with all of this post unfortunately. Very organised in defence and tough to break down, reducing their opponents to speculative half chances. They haven't had the ball a lot (not too much of a surprise given the style) but when they have, they have used it efficiently. The quality of their chances, in comparison with their opponents, is evidenced by the high conversion rate.
The French imploded after their loss to Sweden but in their previous 2 games they looked good, Ukraine were hard to beat on home turf (just ask Sweden) and the Swedes themselves played well despite going home. It was a fair group, and certainly no easier than Italy's (Spain aside).
I am quietly confident.

| This bet with B365, what the best way to use it? My main bet is 0-0 @ ht so if I was to put that on before kickoff I would then back 0-0 @ft when the game starts in play for free to the same stake. is that right????? |

Check the T+C's mate
To qualify for your free In-Play bet, simply place a bet before kick-off, then once the game starts place another bet on any In-Play market. If your FIRST In-Play bet loses we will refund this stake, up to the same value as your largest pre-match bet (max £50*).
I've bet £50 on over 0.5 goals at 1/8, and then bet £10 no goalscorer on StanJames at 6/1. I can now bet £50 in-play knowing that if I lose the in-play bet it will be refunded. Basically getting a £50 bet for a fiver or so.... even better if the only goal is an own goal as both no goalscorer and over 0.5 will be paid out as winners. |
