Notice I made that mistake with an even money chance - bunging a real £50 Each Way on Ile De Re by accident would have been better. Yes , I even backed that one with VC along with my £200 NAP , On The Fringe , so the nerves could have taken a more severe pounding !
Change of scenery again tomorrow - back to Ejanbowland , and again on Tuesday.
There will not quite be time to watch the race before I set off ( unless I choose to be about 1/2 hour late picking up the customer ).
I even missed out on a 2yo trend winner yesterday ( 25/1 ) so annoyed about that - just chose not to tip it so nobody to blame but myself.
Both my 2yo methods come up with one runner tomorrow - the same horse. Unfortunately it is likely to be very short , probably odds on. Success rate has been good though so far and look forward to a few more goodies at bigger prices before the end of the season. _________________ One-a-day history

Crikey DavidG your clients must have plenty of money, Cardiff airport is one of the dearest, I can usually save around £40 per person by flying from Bristol or do you do other runs as well as airport.
ps your betting and laying strategy way to complicated for me, I stick to the £1 or 50p ew but I have built my account up nicely lately so venturing out to £2 if I am sure

I have no idea where Cardiff Airport is.
This is one lady from the Hinckley area who often visits her son in Cardiff , just off Ninian Road. I have also taken her to stay at his wife's parents in Anglessey over Christmas - that is a trek!
She is 80 and has just had both hips done. A sprightly old dear again and very good company for about 2 1/4 hours.
Relaxing over a cuppa now after today's early trip to Gatwick. _________________ One-a-day history

My dear old departed mum in law used to go to East Grinstead in Surrey for check ups for her eyes and on the last few occasions they sent a taxi down from Crawley to SW Wales not far from Ffoslas and a different one to take us home. The hospital reckoned it was cheaper than having a hospital car from our way and when I offered to take my car what they were proposing would not have covered my fuel but could have saved them a fortune if they had offered a few quid more.

I can understand the East Grinstead to Cardiff route as I occasionally need to do a triangle of Leicester , Cardiff and Tunbridge Wells !
The customer in Tunbridge Wells also goes to stay with her sister in RIPON every year and I get the pleasure of that trip , there and back a week later. She breaks the journey with an overnight stop in a halfway hotel. Last year her geography was a bit wobbly and Doncaster became halfway from Tunbridge Wells to Ripon. In itself bad enough , but of course I had to travel to and from Leicester each time. I get very rushed selections on the one a day at that time of year ! _________________ One-a-day history

Davidg, remind me not to buy an ex taxi from the Leicester area, you certainly cover some mileage, longest run I do is 15 miles to the cattle market and a couple of Heathrow runs because my son is too tight to pay for a train/bus

I run a Mercedes E320 estate automatic ( not a new one I hasten to add ) that has done 294,000. It was previously owned by Keith Harris of Orville fame / infamy ( delete as required ).
My Citroen C5 manual that has done around 360,000 still runs like a dream and I enjoy driving it on the occasions when mine is being serviced ( and on nice days if and when I can't borrow the Porsche ).
A diesel engined car that has been treated well should run for a long while. _________________ One-a-day history

Liked 6 horses yesterday put 5 up here and bet them all, over at RUK you can
only put £20 on so chose 2 stronger selections, one of which was the 6th horse
I never put up here, Moretta Blanche (only tracker runner) wins 8/1,
so not only did I not put it here but I also nevr betted it,
Thought my luck would change today, Took 11/1 for a eway shot goes off 9/2
jumps the last and goes 2L clear thought I had bagged it, weakens to 3rd 7 runners
How it weakened to 3rd is a mystery
Only other bet was the one a day NR, I then didn't switch my money to the
other runner and missed it in the tips ...what a weekend :x

I have had a nightmare few days too, 2 of mine today fell, 1 unseated his rider, 2 made a mistake at the end and ended up out of the places and the rest are still running oh well time to change tactics
As Jmstocka probably knows I tweet a lot of South American games,
I love SA football, I think I get or have got quite a lot right for a few months,
didn't realise until last night you can put them on the footy tips,
I've just been playing English and Spanish on here,
Anyway stuck my first 4 SA tips up here and 3 have just won with Boca to go,
