Hi

Just going to start up a blog on my 2-ball & 3-ball golf bets to see how I get on throughout the year as these are bets that I have always liked doing especially at weekends.
I prefer 2-ball betting to 3-balls as 3-balls can be very hard to predict especially in the early rounds of a tournament but at the same time you can get some good value on 3-balls and hopefully that will be the case for this blog in the coming months.

This blog will consist of 3, 4 or 5 bets per each round of each tournament (European tour & PGA tour) so with this in mind I will start with a bank of 500pts and I will also try to keep this updated after every round.

My first selections related to todays first round in the Farmer Insurance Open.....

Camilo Villegas @ 7/4 ...... ( v D.Johnson/G.Woodland) 3pts Ladbrokes

Michael Thompson @ 6/4 ..... ( v B.De Jonge/M.Dawson) 2pts Ladbrokes

Spencer Levin @ 11/8 ..... ( v G.Chalmers/G.Coles) 2pts Ladbrokes

M.Thompson @ 5/6 ...... (v B.Molder)
B.Crane @ 8/11 ..... ( v A.Baddeley)

3pts Double >>> Mythical 2-balls (Draw no bet)Paddy Power

Total Stakes = 10pts

Starting Bank = 500pts
Remaining Bank = 490pts

I will post up my European 2nd round selections later on this evening when the bookies have posted up their prices.

Hi

Well.....a so and so start with 2 wins from yesterdays 4 selections.

This blog only started yesterday but a lesson I have learned already is to avoid putting a selection into more than 1 bet like I did with Michael Thompson yesterday.
Thompson has a bit of a nightmare with a +5 round that consisted of 5 bogeys & no birdies No and that disaster of a round put paid to two of my bets but luckily enough both Camilo Villegas & Spencer Levin won their 3-balls so at least that means the blog has started in a little bit of profit.

Quote:
Camilo Villegas @ 7/4 ...... ( v D.Johnson/G.Woodland) 3pts Ladbrokes ***WON***

Michael Thompson @ 6/4 ..... ( v B.De Jonge/M.Dawson) 2pts Ladbrokes ***LOST***

Spencer Levin @ 11/8 ..... ( v G.Chalmers/G.Coles) 2pts Ladbrokes ***WON***

M.Thompson @ 5/6 ...... (v B.Molder)
B.Crane @ 8/11 ..... ( v A.Baddeley) ***LOST***

3pts Double >>> Mythical 2-balls (Draw no bet)Paddy Power

Alex Noren won his 3-ball in Abu Dhabi this morning and Matteo Manassero is currently leading by 3 strokes with 3 holes to go in his 3-ball so hopefully the Italian can hold on and make it 2 from 2 in the second round of Abu Dhabi.

I am going to have a maximum (5pts) bet on todays Farmer Insurance 3-balls and that selection is going to be yesterday's villain Michael Thompson at odds of 15/8.
This 3-ball plays on the tougher South Course today and Thompson has good previous form of playing on this course.
I think Thompson can redeem himself with a good round of golf today.

Farmers Insurance:

Michael Thompson @ 15/8 ..... ( v B De Jonge/M.Dawson) 5pts (Max bet) Ladbrokes

D.A Points @ 6/4 .... ( v J.Vegas/A.Kim) 2pts Ladbrokes

Total Stakes = 7pts

Starting Bank = 500pts
Remaining Bank = 479pts

Unsettled Bets = 8

A bit busy now so will updated the bank, unsettled bets & LSP later

Hi

No bets yesterday but it was a case of some good & bad news on Friday with the good news been that the Max bet won (Michael Thompson) but the bad news been that Thompson's win came in a 2-way tie , shouldn't really complain as it is still profit but it would have been so much better if Thompson could have sneaked in another putt.
That was the only bright spot on Friday as my other selections were losers;
Quote:

Michael Thompson @ 15/8 ..... ( v B De Jonge/M.Dawson) 5pts (Max bet) Ladbrokes *** WON *** (2-way tie)

D.A Points @ 6/4 .... ( v J.Vegas/A.Kim) 2pts Ladbrokes *** LOST ***

Mythical 2-balls (Draw no bet) >>> Paddy Power

Spencer Levin @ 4/5 ..... ( v K.Stanley) Lost
John Rollins @ 5/6 ..... ( v J.Vegas) Won
2pt Double *** LOST ***

Euro 3rd Round 3-Ball:

Marcus Fraser @ 15/8 ..... ( v J.Donaldson/O.Fisher) 2pts Ladbrokes *** LOST ***

A few 3-ball bets that I like in tonight's final round in Torrey Pines:

John Merrick @ 7/4 ..... ( v V.Singh /M.Bradley) 2pts (Paddy Power)

Brandt Snedeker @ 1/1 ..... ( v S.Piercy/J.Blixt) 3pts (Paddy Power)

John Rollins @ 5/4 ..... ( v K.Stanley/J.Huh) 3pts (Paddy Power)

I know I said previously that I should avoid putting a selection in more than one bet but I do have a strong fancy for this double tonight so I will go with my instinct on this bet although I will be very annoyed with myself if it comes a cropper:

John Rollins @ 5/4 & Brandt Snedeker @ 1/1 ..... 2pt Double (Paddy Power)

Total Stakes = 10pts

Starting Bank = 500pts
Remaining Bank = 465pts

Unsettled Bets = 14

I had previously intended to update the Bank & Profit/Loss stats after each round but I think I could struggle to do that on a regular basis so from now on I will update the stats on a Monday.

Cheers Pete Thanks

I am hoping that this blog will show a decent profit in the long term but as we all know, we don't always get what we hope for Cheeky

I can't complain about this week's results as they could have been a lot worse but this could be down to beginners luck Wink
Next week could be a different matter Fingers Crossed

Good Stuff Swash
I have been betting 2 balls for years and profitably
I learnt very quickly that two many bets will soon destroy your profits.
Great control needed and massive discipline...good luck
