Can anyone explain to me the thinking behind Bulgaria v Turkey?
Bulgaria 14/5 - Turkey EVS.
Granted Bulgaria are no world beaters & didn't qualify for the euro's but neither did Turkey, personally i wouldn't say there is much between the sides & Bulgaria come off an impressive 2-1 win over Holland who had the likes of RVP,Van der vart,Sneijder,De Jong etc etc.
Bulgaria have home advantage & unless i'm missing something 14/5 is over priced yes it's a friendly but it looks value to me.
Bulgaria 14/5 William Hill
Bulgaria over 1.5 goals 2/1 Ladbrokes |

I see your thinking, but including there shock win against The Netherlands their 20 Match International form is W5 D4 L11 GF15 GA27. Their other 4 wins in this period, have all come away from Home against Malta (150), Wales (41), Saudi Arabia (89) and Cyprus (133). Current World rankings in brackets. Bulgaria have also failed to score a single goal in their last 5 Home matches. And the 2 goals they scored against The Netherlands is the first time they had scored more than 1 goal in their last 11 International Matches.
Turkey are by no means world beaters though but when you look at most of the opposition they have lost to they are a much better class than Bulgaria. Germany a couple of times, and The Netherlands, United States and Croatia etc. But like I say I can see your thinking following their shock 2-1 away win against The Netherlands but I wouldn't want to be backing either team in this match to be honest. The result could go to either team, with the Draw more likely. But with all 5 of their latest wins coming away from Home Bulgaria seem to perform better on their travels it would seem. Good luck if you do play. |

Turkey finished 2nd behind Germany in the euro qualifiers and only conceded 11 goals in their 10 games, and 6 of those were against the Germans.
That's 5 goals conceded in 8 other matches and 4 clean sheets, that's probably why Turkey are favourites
Good luck with your bet though |

Bulgarian team has changed mentality with the change in management. New manager - Lubo Penev is a promising young manager who doesn't tolerate primadonnas. Unlike previous manager Lothar Mathaus who was so tactically unaware, Penev can read the games well and make good decisions. The odds look a bit high, but I'm sure it won't be easy game for Turkey nomatter what the outcome might be. All we Bulgarians want to see from team is fighting spirit and less mistakes in defence. _________________ NOONE LIKES US WE DON'T CARE |

Macedonia won't have to do as much travelling as you think as this game is being played on 'neutral' terrority in Lisbon, Portugal...not Angola. Of course Angola have close ties with Portugal having ruled Angola for 400 years so it's 'neutral' in a looser term. Lisbon is just 150km from Lieira, where they played Portugal the other night. _________________ @ KanKeano_OLBG | Twitter |
