Now that we are entering into the "business" end of the season, I think it may be good to get some discussion going regarding Promotions/Relegation's
There are quite a few punting "opportunities" in these markets so maybe we can identify a few:
Looking at the Premiership the Betfair market has decided that there are 5 teams in the relegation market.
I think any team from 29 points down are in the mix so that leaves 7
Wigan look to be gone but if they beat Villa tomorrow (very possible) then it puts them back in the survival mix and Villa right in the fight for survival.
I think QPR could be sucked right into it as they have a tough run in and they are still available to back at 2.38.
What do we think about Wolves appointing Terry Connor, has he really got what it takes to keep them up, I don't think he has and for me they are one side that will definitely be in the bottom 3.
I think there are a few more twists and turns to come _________________ Follow me on Twitter

It's between the bottom 5. Villa and WBA are 7/8 points clear of relegation, and for either to be dragged into the battle would require all 3 teams on 21 points to gain 7 points on them. 7 points is one third of their total points won so far which, as they've played 25 games, suggests they'll need 8-9 games just to win another 7 points. So, unless Villa and WBA pick up hardly a point over the rest of the season, they're both safe.
I think the odds on QPR look good. I reckon they'll end up finishing bottom. There's no great improvement in their results since they sacked Warnock and brought in new players. It's so close at the bottom, though, that it really is any 3 from 5 to go down. |

Q.P.R. Is wroth tempting 2.38 going down, after they way got rid of
Neil Warnock.
Wolves i think they wil stay up again, who ever gets the job.
Not been focusing over football for a week, just getting
over bug thing.
So got week to catch up... |

Wigan -
Saturday 25th February 2012
Wigan v Aston Villa
Saturday 03rd March 2012
Wigan v Swansea City
Sunday 11th March 2012
Norwich City v Wigan Athletic
Saturday 17th March 2012

There next 4 games are crucial, with 3 home games they must get points from all 3 but at least 2 wins if they want to stop up, they still have trips to Liverpool, Chelsea & Arsenal.
Their fate might not be known until the final 2 weeks of the season with an away game @ Blackburn followed by a home game against Wolves on the final day

Bolton also have 3 tough away games, Chelsea, Man City & Newcastle but do have home games and Qpr & Bolton, away game on the last day of the season doesn't help though

Manchester City v Blackburn Rovers
Saturday 03rd March 2012
Blackburn Rovers v Aston Villa
Saturday 10th March 2012
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Blackburn Rovers
Saturday 24th March 2012
Bolton Wanderers v Blackburn Rovers
Monday 02nd April 2012
Blackburn Rovers v Manchester United
Saturday 07th April 2012
West Bromwich Albion v Blackburn Rovers
Tuesday 10th April 2012
Blackburn Rovers v Liverpool
Saturday 14th April 2012
Swansea City v Blackburn Rovers
Saturday 21st April 2012
Blackburn Rovers v Norwich City
Sunday 29th April 2012
Tottenham Hotspur v Blackburn Rovers
Saturday 05th May 2012
Blackburn Rovers v Wigan Athletic
Sunday 13th May 2012
Chelsea v Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn v Sunderland to be re-arranged due to Fa Cup
After Blackburn play Man City this weekend they have 3 massive games where they need points, home against Villa and away to Wolves & Bolton.
They have 2 tough home games in March when they host Man Utd & Liverpool within a week and finish the season @ Chelsea
Qpr -

Saturday 31st March 2012
Queens Park Rangers v Arsenal 15:00
Sunday 08th April 2012
Manchester United v Queens Park Rangers 13:30
Wednesday 11th April 2012
Queens Park Rangers v Swansea City 20:00
Saturday 14th April 2012
West Bromwich Albion v Queens Park Rangers 15:00
Saturday 21st April 2012
Queens Park Rangers v Tottenham Hotspur
Sunday 29th April 2012
Chelsea v Queens Park Rangers
Saturday 05th May 2012
Queens Park Rangers v Stoke City
Sunday 13th May 2012
Manchester City v Queens Park Rangers
Qpr v Liverpool to be re-arranged due to Fa Cup
Qpr have by far the hardest set of fixtures between the bottom 5 teams, they have no home games against any of their rivals and still have to play Arsenal, Man Utd, Tottenham, Chelsea, Man City & Liverpool which is 6 games that they will struggle to get points from.
Their last 4 games are against Tottenham, Chelsea, Stoke & Man City, although that could change depending on when their game with Liverpool gets slotted in.
This makes Qpr my bankers to get relegated @ 11/8 (PaddyPower) and a small investment @ 8/1 (BetVictor) to finish bottom. |

WHO?
Just had a quick calculation as to what points each of 5 bottom will pick up and came to this tally
Blackburn 36
QPR 35
Wigan 35
Wolves 34
Bolton 34
I have always said a team with Yakubu in it wont get relegated.
A proven goalscorer can get points and wins when it matters.
Hope Wigan escape as i like Martinez |

| I think ill put a few quid on wolves to be relegated.i dont think they have a chance of staying up.I saw the press conference today and i reckon they only appointed terry connor because they couldnt fill the job with a good manager right now.it appears to me that they panicked when they sacked mick mc carthy and didnt want to leave it any longer to appoint a new manager so they gave it to terry conner til the end of the season.Think wolves are going down. |

I would say there might be a nice trade this weekend.
I fancy my team Wigan to win against Villa. We've actually been playing well last few games, and could cause problems for the Villa defence who've been out to sea at times.
If we were to win this weekend and you take a look at other fixtures.
QPR v Fulham
Chelsea v Bolton
Man City v Blackburn
Newcastle v Wolves
Conceivably, it looks like Bolton, Blackburn and Wolves will all lose this weekend. And QPR won't have a walk over against Fulham.
So if Wigan were to win, we could end 16th on 22 points, and a lot longer in the market. _________________ D.Rogerson's Ratings

Where can you see Qpr getting 14 points from mate, i cannot see them getting hardly any from the 6 games against the big teams Arsenal, Man Utd, Tottenham, Chelsea, Man City & Liverpool.
If they lost all of those games, which could easily happen then to avoid relegation on your points tally they would have to get an average of 2 points per game from the other 7 games, in other words LOSE NONE OF THEM, and i cannot see that happening |

can't find the paper i did it on. probably on the back of my tax return i just posted.Figures - Figures
I think I gave them the benefit against liverpool on last game when the pool will have nothing to play for and field weak side so as to keep full strength squad to play in F.A cup final
Also the way Arsenal are playing they could turn them over.
All a matter of opinion ofcourse |

I think the relegation battle will be interesting one just like last season it might go down to the last day. I fancy Wigan to survive the drop. They have become the old Coventry...remember |

Of course it is Rasputine, not having a go at you
Be nice if none of the 3 places were done before the final day, what a day we would have then if any 3 from 4 or 5 could still go down
Wigan Athletic v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Stoke City v Bolton Wanderers
Chelsea v Blackburn Rovers
Manchester City v Queens Park Rangers |

Right a quick fag packet look at this and I have the bottom 5 as follows:
Bolton - 37 Points
Wigan - 34 Points
QPR - 33 Points
Blackburn - 30 Points
Wolves - 26 Points
I have therefore had a Lay of Wigan @ 1.39 _________________ Follow me on Twitter |
