Don't know why anybody would think 'Team GB' could do anything in this tournament. A hotpotch of players thrown together at the last moment with no time to gel. The Brazilians have been playing together for 12 months now so it's no surprise.
Would be surprised if GB won a single point in the group. _________________ @ KanKeano_OLBG | Twitter |

The only way that GB will win anything is if the young lad Jack Butland keeps them all out. I said 2 years ago this lad was the real deal and he showed it tonight. _________________ @ KanKeano_OLBG | Twitter |

Brazil v Spain should be a cracking final if they both make it.
The football has gone under the radar at the Olympics with football fans shunning it feeling its not truly part of the games.
I was really impressed with Brazil albeit as others have said against a hotchpotch of a GB Team.
If ever we (England or GB) are goint to compete on the world stage we need to stop praising average play and scraping around for crumbs of comfort.
"that was offside" "that was a foul" "were missing players".
In many cases the commentators and assesors set the tone for what is perceived as good play, but in reality this "good play" would not work and does not work against the top teams. |

I have dabbled in, but never actually fully recorded, whether backing all home wins in the Russian Premier League would yield a decent profit. Due to the vast journeys teams have to go on to reach a game and very few supporters following their teams on these long journeys (sometimes none) the Russian clubs are at a massive advantage when playing in front of their own crowd. Teams who "should win" according to the betting often get turned over when playing away in the Russian Prem. Thinking of paper trading this season with a view to another paper trade next year if successful, no real money will be placed.
Any thoughts on this?

Having a quick look on Betexplorer I would say it is unlikely to produce a LSP
2011/12:
Home Wins 43%
Away Wins 27%
Draws 30%
2010/11
Home Wins 46%
Away Wins 25%
Draws 29%
Given that a lot of the home team wins are at very skinny odds I would think it is a loss maker.
You could save yourself the hassle of paper trading by just going back over the last 3 seasons on Betexploer

Good link ot might be worth saving
laying away teams over 3.5 shows a healthy lsp profit

I think it would definitely be worth a look at that site, seeing which leagues are good for home wins and then instead of just backing all home wins on that given weekend, have a look at who's building up a little bit of momentum and confidence. _________________ Football and Boxing expert. |
