Update:

The Spanish press are now reporting that AVB is a done deal, although Tottenham aren't able to announce it until the end of June due to AVB's severance deal with Chelsea.

This is just a rumour and not been officially confirmed so do with it what you will.

AVB price seriously on the drift following his playing down of his link with the job branding it as "lies"

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11675/7837318/AVB-rejects-Spurs-lies-

He is out to 1.7

Hopefully this is true and the odds on AVB will go through the roof and I can finally green up on this market.

Money for LB again over night following the French exit form the Euro's (probably should have foreseen that coming to be honest and missed a trick) anyway he is into 6ish again but AVB is holding firm at 1.4.

I cant remember if i have mentioned this already, but AVB dosent seem a good fit to me, although i think its strange that if Tottenham knew that they didnt want to continue with Harry Redknapp his replacement is not ready to go. However if it is Blanc or another Euro 2012 manager then maybe that is understandable. Joachim Low maybe?

Looks like the Spanish media about the AVB story all wrong. According to the Daily Mail Levy hasn't spoken to anyone about the vacancy as he's been in America all week.

Well something is keeping the AVB price low, 1.33 now, there has to be more in this than we are being told, looks to me like the Sharks are circling wiating to go in for the kill, I am still red on AVB and if I am honest consider that I have done my money as the price just doesn't match what we are being told through the media No

exactly often there is hundreds of pounds on AVB waiting to be matched at 1.3x and who would do that at these odds if they knew as much as we do.

this thing has about not being able to annouce it until after the end of June because of contractual obligations to do with his Chelsea severence, has it always been known that AVB couldn't take up another post until then when other jobs have come up or is it something that has only been mentioned in relation to this vacancy do you know?

this shows my ignorance but what deos the % in small font above the back and Lay columns mean eg back = 111.6% and Lay = 97% at the moment?

those figures are the over-round mate

this basically means the sum of the percentage chances of the whole field

on the back side of the market >

100% would be a 'round' market.. where all the %ages add up to 100

example > 5 horses at 4/1

each has a 20% chance of winning supposedly (4/1 is 80% not win, 20% win)

so the 5 x 20% = 100%

if they are priced lower then their respective win chance goes up.... say 3/1 which means a 25% chance of winning...

5 x 25% = 125% so you now have an over-round of 125%

not good as this means 125% worth of stakes (on the field) will pay out only 100% of winnings (the winning selection)

which means a profit for a bookie or pthose laying on the exchange

* the smaller the over-round, the more competitive and true the market is

Win
