Nice try swash but it doesn't work like that!
The first down and 10 which start the drive are not counted, just the ones they achieve after that.
I'll let the commish (Chip) explain it better.

Can't believe how tight last nights scores have made some of the divisions.
The AFC West and NFC South are now tighter than an Edwardians Corset!!
Some hugely pivotal games next week just to whet your appetite -

Wow So I am trying something on.
Don't appreciate your smart answer Raider, Its a bit sad that you have to come up with a response like that to what was a legitimate question 
I counted the 1st downs on Game-Tracker (like I did the last time we got this sort of question) and it amounted to 64 first-downs.
I didn't realise that the 1st down on change of possessions didn't count.
Sorry for presuming wrongly |
