Fair play Murtle for sticking to your guns. This is a good example of how the large companies try to screw over the 'small' people and I'd say there have been plenty more like you that just let it go.
After folowing this thread I for 1 will never have an account at BWin and I'm sure there are plenty of others who feel the same. _________________ -

Interesting to note that they claim all transfers are forwarded to the financial provider within 24hs. PITY IT TOOK 7 DAYS TO RESPOND FROM WHEN FIRST SENT MY BANK DETAILS. Unfortunately I have had no confirmation whether it is to be the full balance of 2960 EUR or just my original deposits of 245 EUR. We will see.
*** Murtle - they must pay you the full winnings - don't accept anything less ! |

Finally confirmation from BWin
"Dear Mr xxxxxx,
The processing of your payout request has been completed successfully and we, in turn, have instructed our bank to transfer EUR 2.960,20 into your account. This amount should be available in your account within a few days.
Please do not reply to this e-mail address. If you have any further questions, please contact our customer service team via the contact page.
Kind regards,
Your financial support team at BWin

Its been a tough introduction to using overseas bookies (should have done my homework I guess) but one of the reasons why I stuck to my guns was, not only that I had done nothing wrong but to warn others and hopefully never see anyone go through the same.
Unfortunately I've seen similar posts on SBR about BWin so I'll be passing on news of my experience to help others in a similar situation.
Cheers

Murtle - I have followed this with interest and am very pleased to hear you have got what is rightfully yours (or at least the promise that you will get it).
A lesson to be learnt for everyone, not just on which 'bookies' to use and not to use but to stick to your guns if you are wronged by them, this could so easily have not come to a proper result had you just given up like they hope you do.
Well Done Murtle _________________ FORMERLY JOHN MAC |

Agreed 100%.
Plus may I add my personal thanks to zakazona, our (Australian) betting expert, who kindly gave his comments and I think was a major reason why this shameful incident has now been settled correctly. If
BWin - hang your heads in shame. A reputation lost is hard to earn back. :x |

Money's in the bank the whole 2960 EUR
I'm buying everyone a virtual beer right this moment, especially those that offered advice and have kept track of this whole sad situation.
All I can say now is -
BWin's reputation as a leading bookmaker - A BIG FAT ZERO
Satisfaction of having made them accountable - 2960 reasons better off
Cheers everyone and best of luck with tipping.

Great news Murtle. Well done for sticking it out and getting what you deserved.
For anyone who wants to avoid this sort of situation I would suggest you stick to opening accounts with bookmakers listed on this site on our recommended bookmakers page and via the links on this site.
Its rare that there are problems with any of these ones, but if you do that and do have problems then we should be able to sort them out pretty quickly. |

I can't believe that the clause they rely on covers this situation, The phrase that applies is "could have known or should have known". They are professionals in the betting market with corporate lawyers one wonders whether they are using this to avoid paying you your winings and I wonder whether this problem would have arisen if you had lost. lol. |
