your last half a dozen posts are all about how you have made money and u even have to print screenshots which are of absolutely no use to anyone. its hardly a moment of excitement. u are just posting to boost your own ego. perhaps u should familiarise yourself with the forum rules which specify no mentions of money and no bragging. i think its only because u r friends with a couple of moderators u havent been issued with points as u r clearly flouting the forum guidelines.
u clearly cant take a good natured joke either.
u can read for yerself how it is not only me who thinks your bragging is too much. _________________ Positions are available in the OLBG Lottery syndicate. Multiple lines in each draw increases chances of a jackpot. Wanna join? Please PM me for info. |

William Hill seem to have wrapped us all a late Christmas present in the shape of Dan Christian to be top tournament batsman for Brisbane Heat @ 5/1.
They have Brendon McCullum installed as 2/1 favourite but he'll miss 2 of the Heat's 5 remaining group matches (and a further game if they reach the semi final stage) as he is contracted to Otago. This means he'll also have to travel between Oz and NZ on a pretty tight schedule which I think will lead to fatigue.
Next in the betting is Matt Hayden at 3/1. Although he's Brisbane's current top scorer with 51 in the first 2 games he's 40 years old now, and with an average of just 10.2 in his last nine T20 innings I think we can take him out of the equation for Brisbane.
Chris Lynn is also available at 5/1, but his inexperience is showing and he's averaged just 11 runs in five T20 innings, with scores of just 2 and 13 to his credit in this season's Big Bash.
James Hopes is Brisbane's captain and is up at 6/1. He has been a fantastic runscorer for them in past Big Bash tournaments finishing 8th highest runscorer in the whole tournament last year and 3rd highest overall the year before. His injured knee is apparently playing up after his first game however, and he's expected to be missing for a couple of weeks. If Brisbane don't qualify from the group stages as I expect then he may only play a couple more games for them so I think we'll have to discount him.
That all leaves Dan Christian. For anyone who doesn't know him he's been called up for the Aussie test squad so he's obviously no mug, however he's not been picked for the 12 man team so has been allowed to return to Brisbane for their match. He's currently The Heat's 2nd highest runscorer in this Big Bash on 50 (1 run behind Hayden) and is incredibly dangerous in the short format with a strike rate of 134.6. His game has come on tremendously in the past 18 months and he's hit 145 runs over his last 5 innings at a strike rate over 150. With the competition for runs at Brisbane seemingly so limited, and with Christian proving a star in the making I think the 5/1 on offer should be snapped up. |

Perth Scorchers v Brisbane Heat
Dan Christian top Brisbane batsman @ 6/1
If Gibbs doesn't play - Luke Ronchi top Perth batsman @ 7/1
Both teams look far too short of firepower to do anything serious in this tournament and both could be missing key players for this match.
Perth will miss last week's hero Shaun Marsh due to international commitments and Gibbs may be missing due to a foot injury. If Gibbs does miss out Luke Ronchi may be moved up the order and he could score a few if given the opportunity. He's the 11th highest runscorer in Big Bash history having accumulated 530 runs, and could be Perth's dangerman in the absence of an obvious high scorer.
Brisbane will be without their captain James Hopes through injury and Brendon McCullum will be representing Otago in new Zealand. They have signed Roelof van der Merwe as a stand in overseas player while McCullum and Vettori are absent, which is why I think Christian's odds for this game are 6/1 and not closer to 9/2, but I think VDM could take some time to settle in (though he's only here for 4 games) and because of the reasons stated in the post above I'll be backing Dan Christian in this match. |

Thanks Roger. I shop around and I'll use whoever has the best odds. Generally though for the top batsman bets I use the bookies instead of Betfair as I prefer their rules and liquidity is often low on the exchanges for that particular market.
Surprisingly Ladbrokes have proven to be pretty generous with their odds in the past and Cricketbetlive is good, particularly for the Big Bash, as they're an Aussie firm so they have quite a few markets on it. |

I like Brisbane heat today.
After losing the toss and fielding they are 2.3 to win, while Gibbs showed good touch in the last game he had previously been out of form for some time and he's yet to convince me he will score on a regular basis.
Beyond that they have Mitchell Marsh who is the real team talent and one that will score plenty of runs.
Perth are (i believe) missing Brendan McCullum but Hopes,Matt Hayden, Dan Christian and Van Der Merwe can all score plenty of runs for them.
I'm also going with 9 and under 6's at 1.97 on Betfair, really down to the low scores and few 6's that occured in the last game. |

i much prefer heats batting, but they really don't have a great bowling line up. I expect them to have a fairly tough score to chase due to this and have backed Perth first because of this.
not sure on what score to expect though as yet. |
