Not much to say on this, just the 1 game being played to open the tournament, it's England v Holland.
England are rightly strong favourites and 1.06 odds shows just how strong favourites they're considered to be.
My pick for value on this is highest 6 over total:
England @ 1.22 (Betfair)
While this market is normally a bit risky until the toss given the chasing team often score quicker off the blocks I think England with Wright finding some form and Bopara also very capable should be able to come out quickly weather opening or chasing. This to me seems a resonable price for a 1.06 favourite to score more runs over a period of the game no matter what. |

what a game!!!
England should be booed off win or lose and I don't normaly like to see fans booing!
amazing atmosphere created by the Dutch.
Dutch really should win this. A bit of panic going on and i think they might fail but so close (7 balls left at typing).
great entertianment anyway! |

Great match to start off with though, sure many like myself expected an easy win for England but has been edge of the seat stuff all the way
One grumble though, those dancers are just not up to standard Was watching some of the beach rugby on eurosport and surely sky should send for the dancers from there ASAP Got high standards to live up to after the dancers in South Africa last time. _________________ If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. BROAD!!!! THREW THAT GAME SO BADLY!!!
last over, he misses stumps with one ball, then bottles the throw and dives at the wicket but drops the ball. The drops a catch.
Then final ball needing 2 runs he over throws another throw at the stumps from middle of crease.
Absaloute embaresement for England!
Glad I got my chance to take a profit after backing England big at 1.7+ but England have got some work to do if they want to qualify now. With possible bad weather they need to hope they get to play and beat Pakistan. |

Now thats what you call a f**k up!!
Should have won more easily than they did Netherlands. Embrassing is not harsh enough.
And you have to go back to Pietersen and Flintoffs decision to play in the IPL, when they should have been resting. :x _________________ @ KanKeano_OLBG | Twitter |

These things happen every now and again as we were trying to explain to (forgot his name) who put Australia at a silly price in his acca the other day.
Still no excuses if England can't beat a team of repo men and Burger King managers (ok he didn't play tonight, but you know what i mean). With the weather not too good over the next couple of days a wash out against Pakistan puts us out of the competition unless Pakistan lose to Holland.
I like Adil Rashid but what was the sense in putting him in there instead of Swann? Swann is one of the top 10 bowlers in domestic 20/20. I believe England thought this was going to be a stroll and decided to rest Pieterson and Swann to give Rashid and Key a game.
I don't really blame Stuart Broad as they never got one of his balls in the final over away which would have given them the win anyway. I think England were just poor and Holland played out of their skins. For two batsman that were in Bopara and Wright they just couldn't get the ball away to all parts after the first 6 so a lot of credit does have to go to the Dutch bowlers and fielders and then obvioulsy to their top order as well. |
