I think even if it's not sanga. tbh he'll end up running out of partners and would need to pretty much make 250+, a draw is more likely than an s.l. win imo

Took Sri Lanka at 40/1 in play to win just before Australia declared. Thats what doing the night shift at work can do for you! Only had a quid on it, but a £40 return would be most welcome. Still value to be had at 7/1 for Sri Lanka. Granted it will be hard, but it is a great batting pitch and like someone has already said if they can survive the first session without losing a wicket then they are in great shape.

well i'll have my fingers crossed for you richard! I genuinely think that SL have a reasonable chance of winning. I'd say maybe a 20-30% chance, will be a shame that i wont be able to watch most of the match, as I'd love to watch history in the making (possibly).

I dunno, I guess just have faith if you're a sri lanka backer, nobody gave SA a hope in hell (including me) when they chased down 438 against Australia.

I'm gonna take a bit on SL to even out my Aussie back, as SL are a 7/1 shot I'll be a bit extravagant and go for the win, so I basically have a free bet on SL.

However, a draw would be most annoying! Although I still reckon that the draw is the least likely result here. I think there are 98 overs available here, so they'll either get bowled out or get the runs in that time. There aren't any grafters left for SL.

Overnight wishful thinking prediction - Sangakkarra gets a big big score, Chamara Silva comes in with a cameo, Maharoof is at the crease when the winning runs are hit, with loads of confusion about the runner and a couple of missed run-outs and dropped catches. Match finished with 20 overs to spare, win or lose.

C'mon Sangakkarra! Win

I took Sri Lanka to get over 385.5 runs, so it's only the weather that can hurt me.

SL dropped from 7/1 to 7/2 in a matter of minutes on bet365!

Very very surprised that Lee and Johnson are opening the bowling here, who will take the new ball? MacGill should be bowling here IMO, Ponting's decision here is a massive vote of no-confidence and he is in for another poor day at the office today. He's a confidence bowler and he's completely shot right now.

Dioufy, I considered the runs market but I reckon that if Aussies win, there's a more than likely chance of them getting bowled under 400.

My mistake - I took over 285.5 at the start of the innings, so I'm happy, so far.

Jayasuriya out...but Chanderpaul was out in the 4th over of the day when Windies chased down 418...Lee got him out as well Cheeky

History does repeat itself although I'm definitely trying to tempt fate Laughing

Sangakkara needs to get 200+ runs, with Silva, Maharoof and Jayawardane all contributing.

Such a shame, I thought that this could have been a classic.

Right now, I'm prety sure Aus @ 1.07 are a good shot but I don't like backing those ones!

I think that Sangakkarra is well set mentally, the real question is about Maharoof - the odds on the SL win, which have been 150+ on Betfair, are basically the odds on these guys having a 200 partnership. Would have definitely been interested on a few more quid on 150/1 if maybe it was a better batsman, but Maharoof's highest first class score is only 72...

Now we'd REALLY be in for a fairytale if Murali hit the winning runs, of all people!

I wont be calling it a night until another wicket falls, it's not over until they're 10 down. Fingers Crossed

sangakkara out for 192, sooo unlucky, missed it by as big a distance as you've ever seen in your life, woeful decision to saw him off. Was a reasonable chance of a draw as things are looking hazy now and Malinga was looking comfortable enough.

Best innings I've seen in a very very long time, will definitely dutch him and Jayawardene as top run-scorers vs England, probably also backing Sangakkara in the 'overs' market every time, I think the bookies still under-rate just how good form he's in, averaging 3 figures in the last 8 matches.

Really makes you wonder as Malinga/Sangakkara partnership was 73 runs - if any 2 out of Jayawardene, Jayasuriya or Maharoof had just stuck around for a few overs.
