Yeah i backed India, was glad like someone else said, had they won the last one which they should of anyway the price would have been much lower, instead i got a starting price of 1.83 on India and was glad to see that when i got out of bed they'd done enough for me to trade out to a nice profit!
Good effort from pakistan in the end, I love these India v Pakistan games because they are always so close and full of tension. good play from Butt but never had any back up from anyone else and Afridi being at start of the line up instead of lower down where he normally does the damage also made a big difference. |

Can only assume that Pakistan took into account Afridi's record at the ground and decided to promote him. Worked in our favour as India backers, as if they had Afridi coming in at 7 instead of Akmal, I would have backed Pakistan to win, with Butt playing so well!
Will be interesting to see if India let their foot off the gas again in the next game, with all these conspiracy theories it seems destined to go to the 5th! |

| I'm not sure about the next game, so I will leave it alone, especially when it's at 8/15 again. |

4th ODI Thursday 15th November
I have a real hunch about Shoaib Malik coming good here...he's had a quiet series without being in bad nick. A few rumours that he'll be moving up the order and he has an awesome record against India.
Predictions - it's a Day/Night game and I would back India if they batted first, and then Lay off when they get 290+. My only concern is in the field, when they've really let their foot off the pedal and their opening bowlers have been woeful. If India play 2 spinners, they'll have a much better chance of choking Pakistan during the middle overs.
Tips - Back Shoaib top-scorer @ 5/1, over 34 performance points @ 5/6, Man of the Match @ 16/1. Obviously small stakes and the performance points bet is used as a covering one
His main threat comes from Salman Butt who's in great form. Perhaps even Misbah-ul-haq who might be promoted up the order if Shoaib isnt up for it.
As for the result, there are whispers about this inevitably being a Pakistani win so that the series will go to a decider. I do think that they can chase big totals, but under lights they are quite suspect. It all hinges on...will India play only one spinner? Will Afridi bat down the order? Will Shoaib Malik promote himself?
If the answers here are 'yes', Pakistan are good value with small stakes.
Good luck everyone, feel free to post your thoughts throughout the game |

This pitch looks very dodgy indeed, it will be amazing if India manage to chase more than 270. However, they do have a side packed full of in-form batsmen, so it's really quite difficult to call at this stage.
My gut says Pakistan will get 260-odd and win the match. Will back 'overs' in the innings runs market when India bring on Yuvraj or Tendulkar.
I honestly cant bring myself to put money on either team at this stage. 1.61 for India, 2.1 for Pakistan...no value yet. |

| you not back the 15 overs under-overs? bet365 were doing something like under 58.5 when they were 30-1 off 10. |

Yeah I noticed that but decided against it as Shoaib and Younis were going well and India's first change bowlers can easily go for 8+ per over to start off with.
Incidentally, I'm pretty annoyed that Malik decided to get out just 3 short of what I needed!!! Need him to get a catch or wicket for the performance points bet to come through.
India have reached a high of 1.8 on bet365 and nearly evens on Betfair. I've backed over 258 runs in this innings, India are usually woeful in the last 10-15. I'll back India when they reach a minimum of 1.8-1.9, I think that Pakistan have missed a serious trick in not playing a spinner and India's batsmen are all in great form. They've chased 240, and got 290 and 320 batting first so I'm happy to back them if Pakistan get 250+. |

hmmm i think that under 73.5 runs in India's first 15 is worth a small bet. Pakistan only managed 58 and India tend not to go crazy up-front.
Can't really be tempted by the odds on either side at this stage.
Also, 99* - serves him right for being a lazy runner! |

Now they're going for under 78.5 runs in 15...I don't think India often get over 30 -40 in the first 10. This is pretty good value IMO.
EDIT: Got there just in the end, 77 was the total after 15 but should have been a lot less really. Akhtar went off when he was in the middle of an awesome spell and Tendulkar was hogging the strike!
Will definitely be taking Tendulkar not to score 100 when he gets into the 90's. India destroying Pakistan at the moment, 'hate to say I told you so' to the Pakistanis, you should have played another spinner - Afridi getting lot's of help from the track. |

Tendulkar looking a bit uncertain right now on 89...facing Shoaib who is bowling quickly. A bit tentative right now, Shoaib got him on 97 with a snorter in the 2003 World Cup.
Living a charmed life right now, although he definitely deserves a 100!
Hopefully not though... |
