With it being live on Sky all weekend, just thought I would say I really fancy England to do well this weekend and i've seen them at 10/3 and 4/1, which I think is worth a nibble. England have brought back in Ollie Phillips who is a top sevens player, Rob Vickerman who I really rate as an elusive running centre, Mickey Young who was part of last years winning squad and Tom Varndell who for all his perceived defensive frailties in the 15 man game is a superb sevens player due to his speed. Add these to Gollings and the rest of the squad who have been very competitive this season without winning yet, I think this could be England's tournament.
Also, i've found out before that handicap betting on individual matches during the day can be good, sometimes the bookies price them up unbelievably as some teams that usually get a good pasting in the 15 man game are quite competitive and after all the games are only 14 minutes long so it can be risky backing someone to cover a big handicap.
I had a look at this as well but fancy Samoa to continue their fine run. NZ have got a couple back form injury but may be better next week in Scotland and as you say England could go well with their additions but Ollie Phillips is not playing Oliver Lindsay-Hague has replaced him. Samoa have 301 7's caps between them and look in good form. also the thing that is swinging it for me is the very hot weather forecast. Fancy Samoa will not be inconvenienced as much by it.
