You would win as long as Carters winning score is not 18-13 or 18-16 and as long as O`Sullivan does not get a 147.

Apart from 147 & exact match score, is it only the position points which have to be added on. Or have I misunderstood.

Yes, just the player with the highest break (needs to equal 147), match score and winner points to come.

I don't really follow, why do I receive only 40 points for the final round, with both finalist playing

Ronnie - 8x15 = 120
Ali - 5x10 = 50

or have I totally misunderstood the 1st page example.

Ali scores zero because he lost. You got points for him reaching the final Graham.
