4:15pm Brighton - ROCKME COCKNEY
A runner-up over course and distance last time out and only up 2lbs for that. The 4th, 5th and 10th placed are the only ones to race again from that race and all three have hit the places next time out, so it looks a decent race on paper. A blip at Chester on her penultimate start, where the tight turns can disrupt many a horse, her form looks fairly solid allowing for that exception.
Some nice stats to back up her chances today with jockey Raul De Silva hitting 3 winners from 12 runs here this year, and trainer Jeremy Gask doing even better than that with 4 winners from 10 runs here in 2012. They've also linked up here and given the jockey all three of his wins from just 6 runs this year, so the partnership is strong here.
I think she's set for another good run here today, and she's a good value price at the moment around the 8/1 mark.
5:15pm Brighton - OOI LONG
Held his form well over the last few runs with the exception of his run three starts ago under a penalty at Yarmouth where he was very slowly away and his race was pretty much over after the first furlong. A good third last time out backed up by the first two winning and placing next time out and a couple down the field doing the same. Races off the same mark again today so must go close. A course winner 4 starts ago and that's no surprise as his sire's progeny have a good strike rate here and this track looks to suit this horse.
6:30pm Warwick - TANGHAN
Richard Fahey's two year olds have been showing a fair bit of improvement for their first run, and indeed if you backed every juvenile he's sent out on their second start this year you would have a LSP of +83.00 with 11 wins from 43 runs. Tanghan's second on debut in a Class 3 is the best form in the race with 5 of the other first 8 horses running well previously including the winner who won and third placed who just missed out on the places in a Class 2 next time out. These three were 6 lengths clear of the chasing pack, and with third placed Shrimpton now rated 78 and with winner Flyman beating two horses who have entries for Group 1 and Group 2 races this week I think he's going to be very hard to beat on his debut form never mind allowing for any sort of improvement.
7:00pm Warwick - MULLIT
Looked one for nurseries last time out and acquitted himself well on penultimate start when having no chance with the first two who both look good sorts. Comes as no surprise that Tom Dascombe has been profitable when switching his juveniles to nurseries this year as he's a very shrewd trainer who's improving all the time and has got plenty of his horses spot on so far in 2012. His last race has good form to it and with Franny Norton booked who's having a great year I can be fairly confident he'll be given a good chance at winning. _________________ D.Rogerson's Ratings

3.25 perth...spirit of a nation.
this hurdler trained by j.goldie steps up in distance after staying on nicely lto in an amatuer riders race at perth and with the very good lucy alexander on board there should be more to come on his second start for the trainer. |

5.40 Sligo [[[ DOUBLEBARRELJIMMY ]]]
Looks weighted to go close and although he has had a few chances today's opportunity certainly looks about as easy as it is ever going to get to score a bullseye. Good jock takes off a valuable 5lbs and conditions will suit.
8.00 War [[[ MABEL'S SONG ]]]
Looks to have been found an average race in which to begin it's handicap career and it may well go close. Glancing up the list of horses there doesn't seem to be all that much in the way of form or potential to worry anything with a bit of scope. Conditions are hard to predict at the minute but if they aren't suitable then you would think that the horse would be pulled and kept for another day.

Efiestorm brighton 14:45 EW NAP
1st last time out here but in a class 6 race and todays just that bit better of class5. Is higher in the weights as last 2 times out has been 9-7 and for that win last time out gone up to 9-12. Weight not a problem though as can run still run good after weight going up as back in May she had a win at 9-2 and went up to 9-5 next time out to come 2nd at linfeild and time after that came 2nd againat windsor at a weight of 9-13. Haley Turner rides this alot but for last couple its been different jockey and today M Coumbe rides who was 2nd here on Stonecrabstomorrow last time out when efie storm and Stonecrabstomorrow was 20/1 and only got beat by a neck so jockey can ride and was 2 and a half lengths of 3rd horse so efie storm no doute will be in with a chance for at least a place.
Le Corvee 7:50 Worcester EW and also EW double with Efistorm.
Made a mistake at the 5th last time out in same class and distance as today but still came a good 11th of 18th at Uttoxeter. All last 3 races been on same going as today and also does like larger fields then small as when running in small fields does seem to come last just like 4 runs back in a 3 horse race but was the 11/1 outsider of the 2 even money joint favs. Came a good 6th of 15th 2 runs back even when the horse didnt even lok like he wanted to run he still finished a good 6th at odds of 16/1 with same jockey as today so at least jockey can handle the horse and still make it go. Jockey runs on this horse regular. Horse has won over fences just over a year ago on same going as today and was better class of 4. Is up Le Corvee is £42.16p and jockey Lee Edwards has had 2 good runs here last month month coming 4th and a 5th in alot further distance then today. _________________ I stake low on bets.

| afternoon.... a ratings dropper from the lets say "unpredictable" trinity, ADAJAL in the lucky last at Worcester ^^ off 84 today 12lb lower than lto and was already heading in the right direction, I know its a long time since it got its head in front but there has to be a reason why JP has not got shut of it, possibly worth waiting to see if any money comes but I seem to remember one about 3 weeks back that only got hammered in the ring 2 min's pre off, anyway at 16+ bog it doesn't need much of an investment.. Maurice Linehan is going there for this ride only.. |

3.15 brighton swift blade
this has to have a chance today was beaten lto when 4th to dove cottage
was also 2nd back in july last year to rajnagan who did go in again recently at southwell lady herries hasnt got its head in front as yet but has an outstanding strike rate here at 66.67% with just 3 runners here, 2 have won with s.sanders on board also has a decent enough strike rate here at 39.74 % am thinking swift blade may just need this run with not haveing a run for 138 days or since april but i have a hunch lady herries will have this one right on cue today . _________________ dont gamble if you cant afford to lose it |

6:50 Worcester - Ma Toolan WIN NB
- Faith Jicaro Each Way NAP
It's typical, sometimes I will wait over a week for an alert horse. Tonight I have 3 and 2 of them are in the same race.
Faith Jicaro will be my place bet for this race, simply because it is the biggest price of the two. I can't understand at all why this horse hasn't been stepped up in trip as it finished really well lto, but it was too late. Was due to run last week but was withdrawn, so for whatever reason they liked the look of tonight more which is a positive.
Second start over hurdles, will win soon that's for sure. But I think a further trip is needed. Ground will suit at Worcester and Fahy is in the saddle again. Looks solid to get a place tonight though.
Ma Toolan put in a very impressive, tough front running performance last time out at Stratford in a national hunt flat race.
Now if this mare knows how to jump she should win this easily. So I'm taking a risk that she can! Has received some market support which is a good sign. Goind conditions are the same as when she won and Alain Cawley is in the saddle once more.
There's plenty of more experienced types, striving to break their hurdles maiden in this race. Ma Toolan could be capable of doing it at the first time of asking.
7:00 Warwick - Mullit
Mullit continues to show signs of speed and talent. Only problem is he runs like an excited puppy on a trip to the park, with little direction or focus.
Soon however, it will all click into place and he'll hack up and win a race. This looks a tough little nursery but I am going to continue to back this horse until he wins as I'm confident he has ability.
Franny Norton takes the ride tonight for Tom Dascombe. Not someone who rides for him regularly, but when he does he does alright. 2 second place finishes in the last 14 days is a good record. Hoping tonight he can go one better! Mullit is one to follow _________________ Love Outsiders...Hate Favourites
