3.30 Stratford
Ballyvasey is the choice here - with trip & ground conditions to suit and the Peter Bowen yard ticking along nicely - his runner makes enough appeal to part with some cash at Paddy Power's top quote of 6/1 ( and B.O.G too ) ; now 3 pounds below his last winning mark of 118 Ballyvasey has a record of 2 wins and 9 seconds from 22 races over fences and showed signs of a return to near his best form LTO after a number of moderate effort over the winter and spring. The contest has a somewhat open look to it so it's an Each Way play rather than a win only - he looks to have every chance of at least making the frame and a fair enough chance of getting his head in front where it matters most.
Selection : Balleyvasey ........ Each Way @6/1 ( BOG ) Paddy Power

4.20 Pont [[[ MON BRAV ]]].
Everything looks in place for a big run if you ask me. Headgear back on, well drawn, on a lower mark than last scoring, strong trainer jock combo and back on the ground he prefers. Available at an Each Way price as well of 8/1. My Kingdom looks booked for 2nd place..... again .
Hopefully go well. |

I do fancy My Kingdom to go one better this time. Normally they'd give it a bit of a rest but raced only 3 days ago and coming out quickly this time surely a positive sign. Also the booking of Jamie Spencer is very eye catching, does tend to go from back to front (well 2nd) usually so perhaps will need to get midfield when entering the home straight. _________________ Keeps on plugging away in the hope something will pay off! |

Sunday Pontefract Selections
2.20 Pippy, ran alot better last time on ground that I would imagine is not his ground, the horse is by Exceed and Excell and the faster ground should suit, I have backed this horse every time it has run even when it ran erratically at Redcar, and it seems too have learned since then and back on fast ground today for the inform Dascombe, yard I think the horse will run very well 6/1
2.50 Falcun, does not get it's head in front often and usually finishes second but today could be the day it does get it's head in front the horse ran really well at Newcastle on fast ground so does handle it and although well beaten the winner of that race then went on too run ok in a good race at Ascot, so Falcuns, second is nothing too be ashamed of and hopefully can win today though this is a very tricky race and will be lucky if find the winner.
3.20 Border Bandit, should have a brilliant chance today it met a lot of trouble last time and was nearest at the finish and this horse is by Selkirk so maybe todays ground will see furtehr improvement as a few horses by selkirk have went well on the fast ground last week and I think this horse could go well today.
3.50 Bannock and Ladys First, both horses should be fine with the ground and both look too have amazing chances today, Bannock kept on well at Newmarket and I believe will see out this trip and the Johnson, Yard are going better now and the Richard Fahey, horse Ladys First, receives weight from them all and ran really well at Ascot and also at Sandown and has too go close today for a inform yard.
4.20 Orbit The Moon, I have backed this a few times so I am sticking with it and today the blinkers are applied and hopefully that can spark some improvement and Dods, is a shrewd trainer and this could be the suprise package in the race.
4.50 Bluedune, this Johnson, horse ran terrible when the yards horses were not going well and I will forgive that all the yards horses were running bad and today's ground will suit as the horse is by Invincible Spirit, so the fast ground will be rite up this horses street and the winners are starting too roll again for this yard and would be no surprise if this one wins at a nice price.
5.20 Arch Walker, loves the ground and is knocking on the door and although having a bad draw, it should be able too show enough pace early too gain a handy position and I think the horse will be bang there at the finish. |

4.20 CLOSE TO THE EDGE e/w on the SP
My initial pick was johanes but the draw put me off him.
The selection has had 4 runs at ponte and it reads quite well 1 2 1 4 all over today's distance and all of them in Gd or G/F ground. The jock knows her well as he has won on her twice.
She has a habit of rearing in the stalls and starting slow but if she starts well should be in the firing line at big price since its a competitive race and is well drawn too.
This is quite a open race in truth but the fav on the post has only won once in the last 9 edition of this race so a big pricer is very possible. |

indian trail is a higher class horse than these and worth a go at 16/1
Each Way
ignore its recent soft ground runs it hates soft
all its wins gf or gd
notice its better runs when ground wasnt soft
i think it could surprise a few here if jock can position it, |
