Just got back in from a function about 30 mins ago by taxi, it's amazing how easy it is with the streets deserted at this time of the morning 3.00am to get home with no traffic about, and a 10 mile drive that would take five times as long during the day, but there was plenty of rain about, and the weather fore-cast does not show any sunny days on the horizon.
Will be taking a break soon, and i am going to sit on a beach, and not bother about any-thing but a beer and good food, and my lady freind, and do a little sea fishing.

Afternoon all. It's a marathon not a sprint.... those are my wise words to myself past couple of days. Anyway.... 2.00 Ayr I'm surprised to see Swinbank's Elnadancer at 2/1 second favourite, with the Kevin Ryan debutant, Burning Blaze, the mid-day favourite. The horse made a pleasing debut here at Ayr, when staying on late after showing typical greenness for a debutant and the form of that race looks pretty solid; a few raced horses finished further behind the winner than on the previous occasions they had raced and this included Lucky Beggar, who was beaten 9l, and had been 8l behind Baileys Jubilee on debut (at the time Baileys Jubilee was showing useful form). Kevin Ryan knows the time of day with his debutants, and it would be no surprise if it was useful on debut, but equally, it could have been put in too short. I think it needs to be decent to beat what should be an improved ELNADANCER so I have taken the 2/1. Swinbank also has decent stats with this profile of horse in sprint maidens.

Good luck.

Ayr is very much a successful track for Richard Fahey to visit and he has a few interesting runners there today. The yard are back in good form and has being firing in the winners of late.
He runs a two yr old filly of Rock Of Gibraltar in the first called Simply Shining. Decent pedigree and Fahey has a very good record with 2 yr olds here and he had a first time out juvenile winner win well yesterday.
Hew then runs and extremely well handicapped on in Goldenveil in the 3.00. Rated as high as 82 a year ago he is effectively running off 30lbs lower mark today when taking the jockey's claim into account. Current form looks poor but the drop back to a mile should be in his favour and he may have done alot better had he not had a bad start lto.
Chiswick Bey is another who has seen his rating being dropped by the handicapper and effectively is off 77 today. A mile may be stretching him but with his dropping mark and Fahey's record here and with prices as big as 20/1 i think he is worth a chance.

Advise e/w singles and e/w multiples.
