Came back to form over hurdles last time out with a nice win.
The distance won't be a problem after a win over 3m 1f on soft going at Fontwell.
Ran 2 decent races in novice chases, finishing 2nd in both and is rated lower today than for those 2 runs.
Gavin Sheehan has ridden her once before, last time out when she won and takes a valuable 7lb off her back |

Cottage Oak
In his last race against Mumbles Head at Perth Cottage Oak was a fast finishing horse but the post came too soon. And so today's extra couple of furlongs must only help his cause and Cottage Oak will be in the thick of things at the finish. Today there is an eleven pound difference between the two and they are also retaining the cheekpieces for him. He can cope with most ground conditions, also this left-handed track will not pose any problem for him. T J O'Brien takes the ride so must increase his chances. |

although the stable run a few and stable jockey has picked mumbles head, bowen would not be running them unless he thought they had a chance.this one has got a lovely racing weight and receives a lot of weight from a few in this,is in good form at the moment winning over three miles last time out, should be able to handle the extra two furlongs, will handle the ground and the only concern is the extra trip, jamie moore does well when he teams up with bowen. |

15:30 UTTOXETER
Todays selection is the Peter Bowen trained Harouet ridden by Jamie Moore. He's a lightly raced seven year old who as five career wins to his name from sixteen runs whilst he's three wins from seven over chases. All his wins have come on god-soft ground or softer, so any rainfall will be a bonus. Over the past five seasons, trainer Peter Bowen as a 12% strike rate in handicap chases (56 winners from 453 runners). This year alone he as a 28% strike rate with his handicap chase runners (7 winners from 25 runners), showing a profit of +£9.00. This year jockey Jamie Moore is 2 winners from 13 on Peter Bowen trained handicap runners. Owners Walters Plant Hire Ltd Egan Waste Ltd are 6 winners from 20 runners over the past five seasons with Perter Bowen trained chasers. There showing a 30% strike rate and showing a profit of +£54.25. Peter Bowen is 5 winners from 26 runners (19% strike rate) at the track over the past five seasons.

Ballyveysey
Tom Scudamore rides Ballyveysey for the first time since finishing fourth of seventeen in The Beechers Handicap Chase at Aintree in November 2010.
Been in awful form since finishing second in this race last year but has dropped so far in the handicap that must have a winning chance now 9lb lower than last years race.
Has had two runs at Uttoxeter the second place already mentioned and third of fifteen in NHF race.
Tom Scudamore has finished in the first four of his thirty one chases this season fifteen times which is almost 50%.
Seven of the last eight horses Peter Bowen has sent out over jumps in Britain have finished in the first three. |

Ballyvesey
The Bowen yard has three running in this race and Ballyvesey is the one I prefer, although his record is eratic after three poor efforts this year it leaves him 9lb lower than last season.
They have removed the visor and have fitted him with a tongue strap but have retained the cheekpieces.
Ballyvesey is not a hopeless case providing the ground gets no worse than what is forecast,he has won a hurdle race and two chases from 2m 6f to 3m on good ground.
T Scudamore takes the ride so must increase his chances against his yards hot horse's Mumbles Head and Harouet.

| INSIDE DEALER. Put in some really good runs last year against better opposition than this. Has looked progressive last two starts this year winning both. Joe Tizzard gets on well with the horse and the trip and ground both suit. Should go well |

HAROUET
The Peter Bowen yard is going well at present and he is represented today by Harouet. Taking a warranted step up in class today to a Listed race and with a win behind him already this term does not look out of place in todays line up. Jamie Moore takes the ride again today and he was on board last time out when the gelding ran out a 9 length winner at Ffos Las. He has raced mainly at Ffos Las and he appears to be improving. Looks to handle better ground and todays going looks fair enough. Now racing off his highest ever mark but does not look over burdened.
Should make the frame and this usually sound jumper can be very competitive today. |

3.30 uttoxeter - sea saffron
this 11yr old has really come into himself this year with four wins already
he likes a bit of cut so hopefully they get a bit more rain at the track
the distance is perfect and he is on a very nice mark for this listed race
with the added bonus of m griffiths taking 3lb out the saddle i give him a
massive e/w chance. |

Mumbles Head
Poised to challenge when falling in this two years ago and off for 16 months after that; back to form with a vengeance in recent starts, completing a hat-trick in good style at Perth last month; great record under Tom O'Brien (six wins and four seconds from 11 attempts under him) _________________ Horse Racing Challenge

SEA SAFFRON
Continues to run to a consistent decent level of form, decent claiming jockey onboard has formed an excellent bond with horse riding him to 4 victorys. stays all day and all ground conditions seem to come alike. selection doesnt seem to know how to run a bad race and should run a big race at attractive odds. |

Harouet
Jamie Moore is 2 from 2 and keeps the ride again today. Last 3 wins have come over 3 mile so distance shouldnt be a problem. All wins have come when the ground has been on the easy side fd good so should be ideal today if it doesnt dry out too much. Bowen yard flying at the moment. Looks overprices at 10/1 |
