Saturday 7th July

Sandown 2.05

Judge N Jury

In great form with two wins and two seconds in last five races.
Course and distance winner and had two seconds and a fourth from four races over course and distance.
Was only headed close home in Group 3 at Curragh last week when drifted right in final furlong.
Will have even better chance if overnight rain but is proven on good to soft as well.
Ideal draw three of fourteen.

Saturday 7th July

Sandown 2.40

Trade Commissioner

Two wins from three races on turf and a third.
Dropped back in distance to a mile last time out and won easily by 4 1/2 lengths on first attempt at the trip. Handicapper has taken no chances by raising 12 but that win was so convincing i don`t think the 12 will stop Trade Commissioner winning again.
In form big race jockey William Buick takes the ride again and has two from two record on turf aboard Trade Commissioner.
Has also won on only previous race at Sandown.

2.05 Elusivity

Anymore rain will suit this one and has also got the best draw, his form in the
Palace House would give him a great chance if repeating that, Blinkers could
also help a little and Buick is a good rider and ridden once before,
Horse has come 2nd here on only visit and although the mark needs proving
he does have things in his favour, stable been going ok,

2,40 Trade Commissioner

I'm not sure about more rain although I think he maybe has the class anyway,
Stable been going well and the horse has progressed and won with loads to spare
last time, he looks better than even this hike in weights and has a good draw
if able to get out just behind, Buick up again and still unexposed only 4 runs,
Spas Dancer is second fav and that says it all to me as thats not in TC class
imo, Bertie could be the danger but draw not good, not sure what might get
second so I hope TC does get to run his race and win.

Good Luck with wedding Meoldmate Win

Sandown 2.05

HUMIDOR

Much improved handicapper who finished 3rd in this race last year, then followed that up by winning a Listed race, with a few of todays rivals behind.
Since those two good runs at this leavel, been over to Italy for a Group 3 race but lost any chance with a bad start, spent the winter in Meydan running in some big handicap races over there, ran well enough on first try but not that good on other two runs in the UAE.
Been off the track since his Meydan runs but trainer George Baker has his team in good form and should come here fit enough.

Sandown 2.40

NORSE BLUES

Winner of the Spring Mile at Doncaster on seasonal debut this year, ran well enough in two subsequent runs but on latest start was no match for todays Fav, Trade Commissioner, beaten around 10 lengths into 7th place.
Much better off at the weights today, with the likely Fav, is a stone better off at the weights, so hopefully finish a lot closer.
Sylvester Kirk retains James Doyle in the saddle, ridden him the last twice, has previously won and placed on Norse Blues and Doyle is riding at the top of his game this year.
Was a big price when winning the Spring Mile and is another big price for this, despite having shown he's capable of taking a big handicap over this trip.

SANDOWN 14.05

SPIRIT QUARTZ

Apart from one forgettable race last year, she has been a consistent performer. She has run against some competition on the field. She has yet to win this year but has been placed in four out of six races, and in the other two finished fourth and fifth which is good for this competition. She can handle the ground. Dettori will be on board for the second time, managed to finish fifthe at Ascot, but should improve here and has a SR of 10% on turf.

2.05 SANDOWN

FREE ZONE

Trainer Smart knows the time of day with sprinters, and this one seems to be improving. Made the potentialy very smart Pearl Ice work really hard when 2nd to that rival last time out over course and distance. Soft going will suit and question marks over lot of his opponents on that front in race. Soft going means his draw should be ok. Double figure odds represent decent value and top 3 place beckons.

2.40 SANDOWN

CAPTAIN BERTIE

Real tough race to call, but the Captain is a tentative choice. Soft ground posed no problems his best performances have come on slow going. Has ran well in big fields this season. Should have the best of the draw. 4yolds have a good record in race.

SANDOWN

14:05, Coral Charge (Registered As The Sprint Stakes) (Group 3) (Class 1) (3YO plus) - 5f 6y

NIGHT CARNATION

-> Was the winner of this race in 2011. 2 times C&D winner from 3 starts. Got 12-4-1-1 record on flat turf. Last 7 starts were in Class 1 races (includes C&D win).
-> Her regular jockey Jimmy Fortune will be in the saddle again. All her 4 career wins were achieved with Jimmy. Fortune is one of the top 5 jockey's at the course with 10% SR (19-182) in the last 5 seasons.
-> Andrew Balding's yard in great form this season. He is also one of the top 5 trainers at the course with 15% SR (19-125) showing a profit of £9.25 in the last 5 seasons. This season Balding-Fortune combo shows 13% SR (12-96).
-> Night Carnation, 4yo, weighs at 9-0 and got mark of 103. She is drawn at stall 4.
With the leading trainer and jockey and return to the course where she won twice, will definitely help her to defend her title.

14:40, Coral Challenge (Handicap) (Class 2) (3YO plus) - 1m 14y

STAGE ATTRACTION

-> Lightly raced. 1 time C&D winner from 2 starts. Got 8-2-0-2 record on flat turf. Though a beaten favourite last start here, he had improved better in Class 2.
-> His regular jockey David Probert will be back in the saddle again. All his 2 career wins & 2 places were achieved with David. Probert got at the course 11% SR (5-45) in the last 5 seasons.
-> Andrew Balding's yard in great form this season. He is also one of the top 5 trainers at the course with 15% SR (19-125) showing a profit of £9.25 in the last 5 seasons. This season Balding-Probert combo shows 17% SR (21-121).
-> Stage Attraction, 4yo, weighs at 8-9 and got mark of 87. He is drawn at stall 14.
With the leading trainer and familiar jockey and his better experience here in Class 2 race, will definitely help him to regain his winning form.

Hope the Balding duo will give me valuable points Fingers Crossed

Sandown 2.05

JUDGE N JURY

The weather is playing havoc with the racing at the moment and the unseasonally soft ground is not helping. My selection has form on soft ground and his last run in a Group 3 race on very soft ground saw him progress even further at the age of 8, to see him finish a close up 2nd. This is a tricky race to call anyway but the addition of soft ground and the prospect of more rain makes it even harder. Luke Morris takes the ride again today after missing the ride last time out. He should be familiar with the horse now and he is riding really well. My selection has to contend with his highest ever handicap mark now as a result of his last run but should be good enough to grab a place at least.

14,05 Sandown
Judge’n Jury (GB)

Short distance race with 13 runners with very good performance, very close in Or rank and at bookmark, Judge’n Jury is my odd for this race, specialise at today distance, all his 11 wins in carrier was obtained at 5f 6y distance, 56 runs from total of 64 race starts, impressive, know very well this track, winner of today C&D, two others 2nd place and one time came in 4th place from total of four starts in this C&D, two wins and two place in this year.

14,40 Sandown
Trade Commissioner (IRE)

Very crowded race at relative short, but ebough time to take control over this race, Trade Commissioner have excelent results so far, since the end of March this year starts at 5th class of race, two wins so far, one right here in May this year at two furlonf more then today distance, others two 3rds place from total of four in this season, including one at today distance in Salisbury on latest outing 10 day ago, when win in fron of Vainglory(3rd) and Norse Blue(7th), in three of this race was rided by same jockey as today, W Buick, same weight today as latest win.

JUDGE AND JURY

Arguably showed his best form this year at the age of 8 and would have bagged a group 3 last week but for drifting in the final 1f. Has a great draw in 3 and should blast out and make them all go. Any softening of the ground would suit. His track form is good with a win and two seconds from 4 runs here.

TRADE COMMISSIONER

With the new points system I'm not sure a 5/2 shot in a 17 runner hcap looks the right call but I simply can't see past this one. This horse looks like a potential group horse last time when demolishing a decent field by 4l. He has a course win to his name and the draw in 1 should allow the jockey to get him settled. The Gosden stable have been in blistering form in recent weeks and this one looks well capable of keeping there run going.
