4.55 Donny, I like the look of Miss Zooter
She was an unlucky loser two runs back but made up for that with ease when winning a good handicap last time out.
She has had a few entries since then where she hasn't taken them up but will hopefully run tomorrow.
If so, I think she will take all the beating. |

Doncaster's 3:10 Weatherbys Insurance 2yo Stakes see's the unbeaten Wootton Bassett bidding for his fourth win but Galtymore Lad is looking to ruin the party with weight turn around for there latest encounter which seen him go down close home by a length and three quarters.
Murbeh is interesting, winning well when last seen at Ripon and is open to more improvement having only had two runs.
Thinking of the Lay on Wootton Bassett @2.66
and Murbeh win and place @8.8 and 3.75
any thoughts on the race ... |

I must admit, however impressive WB has been so far I couldn't get involved at 13/8.
I watched his last win as a service I follow gave it as a bet but with a rise in the weights and 22 runners in the field I'd be a layer rather than a backer.
A race to watch and not bet in imo |

Mooster, what are your reasons for laying this one? I think it will take a heck of a beating and think it will improve again from last run. Obviously a few of you are keen to Lay it but I wouldn't want to, Fahey is a master at knowing what he has I feel. In fact, I actually think this is a very strong bet. I guess the key reason to Lay it would the 8lbs given to the Channon horse, but I think that horse is much more exposed with 6 runs opposed to Wooton Bassett's 3 runs. Fahey says it has improved too.

Galtymore Lad as a eight pound turn around with Wootton Bassett for less than a two length beating on there latest meeting at York while Murbeh ran a decent enough time lto at Ripon under these conditions winning easily and is open to improvement after just two starts. Forjatt produced a good display lto also and although beaten by Wootton Bassett two starts ago, that was a four horse race and i feel he could prove a real danger.
It's a twenty two runner field over six furlongs, if finding trouble in running then the race could be over which is why im willing to be against Wootton Bassett at the price. |

good day today but was an absolute idiot and went to pot this evenin so back to square one again....
small Patent or maybe lucky on these as i firmly believe all have great chances but main two are
RARE TURN (NAP) ridden under seb for sir prescott, has at least a stone on the handicap here and dropped to class 5 after class 4 win, at 6/4 this is a max bet for me......
next best is meeznah under the control of the chicken, hes in blistering form (todays Patent) but nicely weighted, good performance in group company and stays a great chance at good odds....
mix these with small stakes SPANISH DUKE (Patent) and a tentative GALTIMORE LAD (ew single) carrying 8lbs less than a 2 length defeat ands game on for me |

| well I've been looking at the Wootton Bassett race and to my eyes the best way to play this race is to back Galtymore Lad in the win and place. On this type of bet, where I am as near as certain that the selection will hit the frame, I would go 25:75 win and place with the intention of laying the win bet in running. 8.4 or something on Betfair right now. |

The more I look at Galtymore Lad the more I like his profile. Firstly, I like the fact that he has proven his stamina over 7 furlongs when just touched off at Ascot in a Listed race by a smart sort in Toolain. Secondly, having reviewed the York race won by Wootton Bassett it struck me that WB had the advantage of racing nearer the stands rail and that Fallon on Galtymore Lad went for home probably too soon thinking he would outstay his rival.
My thinking here is that Fallon will have learnt plenty from that race, that he will come with his challenge later knowing his horse stays well (this race is run over an extra half a furlong compared to last time) and with an 8lb pull with the favourite he must be thinking he can turn it around. The draw is another possible factor as GL is drawn in the middle and WB is on the far side in 4. This in itself might have a major effect on the outcome.
I am now decided to go MAX Each Way Galtymore Lad |
