Iv opened this thread, hope thats alright mods so we can try and find future winners, like 2011 Cheltenham horses Grand National winner,Ascot,Derby,Guinease and so on.I do think reasons should be put in here at least a couple to let people know why you fancy a particular horse to say win the Derby.
I fancy two horses and have backed 1 already for next years Ch,Get Me Out Of Here a 6 year old now but lightly raced in that i mean first season hurdling, finished 2nd to Mehorah in the Supreme and really think this must have a great chance next season.Remember AP will probally stay loyal to Binocular, but MClernon is good.If the horse wins at Aintree i cld half in price so 14/1 18/1 looks good imo.
Next year Cheltenham I also really fancy at this time Weapons Of Amnesty which was my NAP in the RSA and it won very easy and stayed beating Punchstown and Long Run by quite a distance and do think its worth following in on Ante post for next seasons Gold Cup .If we get peoples views and horses in here we can back ante post and hopefully for whatever race can help each other. _________________ My Own horse Alert blog

I think this could be a popular thread over the next few months. Well done Dontstopmenow ....
I think that anyone that fancies Greyfriarschorista today could do worse than getting on @260 the win and @34 the place for the 2000 Guineas. He's up in class today but he will need to beat these i feel to keep his claims for the Guineas, his current price of 2/1 though represents poor value. If he's up to the task and wins well today then im sure that come 3.05 all those Guineas bets will be at a price to Lay off and run a bet to nothing come the big day.
Good Luck All ... |

Must also say iv had a very small bet in the National on State of play, only because i was told to back it a few months back. _________________ My Own horse Alert blog |

Was also thinking of maybe setting up an Antepost competition which would run all year between 2 specific dates. Havn't asked OLBG about it yet or anything but would just be interested as to what people may think of it....... |

Was thinking of maybe declaring a certain amount of races and just letting people come on the thread with selections at any stage up until a week or 2 before the event. Obviously the longer you wait the more clues you get but if backing a horse a long way before the event you are very likely to get better odds and as the comp would be scored to level stakes that would be the way to go.
Every person would get just one go at each race and I would keep a record of everybody's selections to be posted close to each event. Would have to probably check each tip at the time to make sure the stated price is available but it wouldn't be much trouble and I think it would be simple to run on my part.
Just a rough idea anyway, if I were to do it would hopefully have it set up in time to include both Guineas. |

I presume u mean St. Nicholas Abbey. He must be Irelands new superstar
if they think he's going to win all 3, and he may well. 2/1 for the Epson Derby on PaddyPower now and 5/2 for the 2000 guineas. Also entered for
the tatersalls but no price on pp for that one yet. If u want to see your bet
he will be out for a canter tomorrow after racing at The Curragh. Check around the bookies yourself for the best odds.
Best of Luck |

Sir Nicholas Abbey looked a machine last season i remember backing it and it absouloutly won in a canter, has it trained on? hope so but is probally like you say to short to back ante post and this thread imo needs some good prices and good value. _________________ My Own horse Alert blog |

St. Nicholas Abbey is some macnine/tank or whatever they are called these days
Well, at the prices we are hoping someone else will beat him. And I will be the first one to look out for a place bet at least. |
