Forum Rules & Warning Points System

Hi

This isnt going to impact many of you but I just wanted to make people aware of the new "penalty points" system we've introduced

The aim of the system is to
- make it clear to people what the rules are
- have a fair warning system so offenders understand the rule they broke and get at least on futher chance (often more)
- keep the forum a nice place to share betting info

The "Rules" link on the blue bar at the top of the forum now links to the penalty points league table which lists offenders, their points & the forum rules (and points incurred for breaking each). Anyone getting points receives an email when they are issued and there is a brief explantion of the particular offence.

Get 10 points and a person is banned from the forum.

As I said before I dont think this is going to affect many people, mainly just trouble makers and the odd new person who doesnt bother to read the rules but hopefully it will help make things more transparent.

One rule I wanted to clarify (the last one) is on "High proportion of low value postings". This DOES NOT mean that everyone has to make huge efforts on every post - its aimed at cautioning people for whom almost all their posts are worthless - there arent many people like that
