Brilliant ride from Schleck.
What's up with Contador, is the bike wrong size or badly set up, he's readjusting after every couple of seconds on the saddle ? I know when riding at the limit you push forward but that is not right, has to affecting his time. |

| It just had to be 39 seconds didnt it! Surprise Contador put in such a poor ride today I guess he just wasnt in such good form as he was before but even so he has won every Grand Tour he has ever ridden which is some feat. |

Tour De France Recap
So it has finished and we are all left with a void in our afternoons as there is no more cycling to watch on TV. It certainly was an eventful Tour. For me it is the best one I have ever seen (although the majority of the Tours I have watched were drugged up Postal Service Dominated).
Firstly let me apologise for my shoddy tips in my pre-tour post. I got one out three. At one stage it looked like Thor was going to walk home with the Green Jersey. Sadly his injuries caught up with him and his sprinting deteriorated greatly. If it had not been for Cancellara’s action to neutralise stage 2 to protect Andy Scheck then the Green Jersey could have rested on Thor shoulders. Still at least I got my money back as I put him on EW.
My second bet on Kreuziger to finish in the top 3 was a very bad shout. A top ten placing would have been a more reasonable tip. Kreuziger once again failed to really stamp his authority on the race. His climbing has not really matured and apart from his attack on the first serious mountain top finish he failed to match the top 5 riders on GC and ended up coming 9th overall on the GC. In his defence his team failed to really support him and generally where mediocre.
My final bet on Luis Leon Sanchez to come in the top 10 was close he came 11th overall. He just missed that little bit in the steep mountain top finishes to really challenge for the top 10. In fact he had to get in a breakaway with two other teammates on stage 9 to make up for his loses in the previous days stage to help resurrect any chance of finishing in the top 10.

| Hope those of you who followed my advice at the start made a nice profit. Its a shame no one was offering a tricast market as that would have paid a decent return I expect. I think its also worth remembering again next year to leave the KOM markets well alone as the winner wasnt even priced up at the start. |

| yeah addpea your tips where much better than mine. Good shout with Menchov but I have always held the view that he is on drugs since his Giro win last year where he managed to stay in the mountains with a drugged up Di Luca. The point about the KOM is right and one I made in my blog before the race. It is a market that is made for betting on during the race. Charteau odds large where still fairly large when he was battling it out Pineau for the jersey so it reward any punter who took a risk on him. |

So there goes any chance of Contador winning the Tour next year with Bjarne Riis in charge of team tactics Oh oh oh Alberto _________________ If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it's not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever. |

| not really jimny2 as Riis was the guy who masterminded Sastre Tour Win. If Schleck had the guts to go all out on the tourmalet or the prologue he could have won the tour. What really interests me about this move is Riis saying that Contador is targeting winning all 3 grand tours in one season. That would amazing |

In my lowly opinion it can't be done and he'd be mad to consider it. It's bad enough riding in all 3, nevermind trying to peak in them all and win! Then he has to remain fit and injury free for 9 months of the year. If he does try then I can see Schleck winning the TDF next year. _________________ @ KanKeano_OLBG | Twitter |

Today Contador said
“To conquer the Giro, Tour and Vuelta in the same year is impossible. We have made it very clear that the priority is the Tour and working towards that is planned in each of the two campaigns that we have signed up for.” |
