Like many i expect Russia to wipe the floor with the Poles and saw Russia get so much space out wide against the Czech and should do here has full backs Boenisch and Piszczek both love getting forward and bomb on and will be leaving space in behind and see themk having to get back often after forward runs and see them making some silly last ditch challenges trying to get back to there man

Boenisch has been in and out of the Bremen team for a few seasons and only played four games last season but got sent off in one

Piszczek rarely gets booked but he will come up against many direct runners tonight in Dzagoev,Zhirkov and Arshavin and no doubt will make fouls and will make a few and ref could lose patience in the end and bring out a card

Back both players singles and one will bring a profit

To be booked

Boenisch 2/1 NAP
Pisczek 2/1

Poland – Russia:

Poland started very well versus Greece but the pressure seemed to get to them especially after the Greek red card. They are hot on the counterattack and Lewandowski is one of the hottest strikers in Europe right now. Dortmund were scintillating last year and Lewandowski’s Dortmund colleagues Jakub Blaszczykowski and Lukasz Piszczek were great on the wing against the Greeks, I’m sure their pace will trouble the Russian back four. The fact that Szczesny is banned means nothing as he was abysmal vs Greece while his replacement saved a penalty with his first touch and looked solid.

Russia was very impressive offensively against the Greeks but looked weak at the back. There is a great rivalry between the two sides and I don’t think the gulf between the two teams is as great as some may think. They both have decent players throughout with 2-3 players on each side that can be matchwinners. I can’t see the Poles loosing at home and getting knocked out of their tournament so early.

Prediction:: Poland AH +0.5 1.65

Like most people I think Russia are a steal here, then again I thought Sweden were a great price last night and the bookies caught me out Confused
I had a look around in the local bookies today and found 7/2 on Russia -1

Russia -1 7/2

Poland vs Russia - RUSSIA WIN and RUSSIA WIN TO NIL
"Poland showed they can be a big threat going forward in that first game but they also showed how vulnerable they can be. They started that game well and got their goal. However, they didn't really show up in the second half and allowed Greece back in into it. They tired and shoo,d have lost that game. They could really do with a result from this game aswell especially if Czech win. Lewandowski will be a threat upfront but I'm not sure they will have enough at the back. Russia set the standard and so far have been the only real performers. I wasnt sure they would live up to their expectations in this group but they made a very promising start. They played some good football and looked strong keeping in mind that as good as Russia was, Czechs were rubbish. Russia have some lively players and Shirokov is dangerous when making runs towards the box, He could be worth a nibble for first scorer. Poland will give this a go but they could tire and Russia should win it.0-3"

I am with the Russia win. But every team seems to be scoring at the moment so not sure whether to go for a Russian Clean Sheet? Confused

Glad Kerzhakov starts and would have been harsh if he was dropped and every striker can have a off day but dragged the Czech back four all over the place and gave Arshavin,Zhirkov,Shirokov and Dzagoev space to run in,i doubt Pav would do that and Kerzhakov had a hand in three goals from movement or assist and see him back tonight

Kerzhakov first goal 6/1
And a massive 17/1 to score two or more

A red card during the game is 2/1 which must be a massive price surely given how things have already boiled over amongst the fans and I suspect it will also unfortunately spread to the players as well.

Wolfgang stark the referee tonight looks a bit out of his depth. He's known for being a bit card happy. He's the referee who cost Rooney the first 2 games in this competition. Ive backed over 5.5 cards with Bet 365 @ 2.00. I think its a decent bet considering how feisty this game is gonna be. If i got over 4.5 cards like someone on here earlier put up i'd take the bookies hand off.

Selections
Poland 1 Russia 1 @ 7.0
and
Poland 2 Russia 2 @ 15.0

Over 5.5 cards @ 2.0

Like the general consensus I think the odds on both a Russia win and over 2.5 goals are too good to turn down. In addition I've got involved with Russia -1.5 on the handicap which on Betfair is 5.00.

Russia look very strong going forwards, in my opinion Czech Republic are on a similar level to Poland so I fancy Russia to get all 3 points and guarantee themselves a place in the quarter finals.

Good luck.
