Here's a place to discuss all the transfers and potential transfers during the next month. We all know how important it is to keep abreast of this information and for many clubs this will be make or break time in their season.
For many lower league clubs it's the loan system that it is of greater importance and getting in or keeping hold of a important player will be of interest to us gamblers/traders from a betting perspective.
I'll start with the first one's today -
Transfers
Reading sign Portuguese centre back Daniel Carrico from Sporting Lisbon. Carrico was the captain of Sp Lisbon and was out of contract at the end of the season so has only played a handful of games this season. Yet to represent the national side he was capped 16 times at U21 level.

Goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has signed for LA Galaxy after 3 1/2 seasons at Tottenham. Carlo was 4th choice at Spurs.

Loans
18 goal Ryan McGoldrick plays the last game of his loan spell with Coventry today. He's due back at Nott'm Forest tomorrow and could be a significant loss for the Sky Blues if they can't extend the deal.

Tottenham close to signing Lewis Holtby from Schalke on a pre-contract according to the times. Think Liverpool and some other clubs were linked with him.

Demba Ba could be on his way to Chelsea, for around 7 Million.
That would be good link up with Torres.
Am sure Chelsea will be buying another striker to in this window.
Frank Lampard will be staying in this window, as Frank is getting very
close to the Chelsea top goalscorer record.. |

I think that although they have overpaid for him, if Sturridge gets a run of games he will score them goals. He did it for Bolton out on loan, and was doing it for Chelsea under AVB until he got sacked.

Hearing my side Westham are very close to signing Chamakh from Arsenal
Fat Sam must think he can get players to regain form again. He is not Harry Redknapp.
Joe Cole is finished in my opinion and had chances at Chelsea and Liverpool twice.
Chamakh is a awful signing and will never score unless its a header.
Fat Sam just please keep hold of Diame. What a player and struggled without him.

Looks like Levy got one over on Fergie. Was going to cost us up to £6million in compensation in the summer. Now, after a three month stay in Belgium after joining Liege on a free transfer he pops up at Spurs. Man U get nothing and Tottenham get Fryers for half the amount of money that was touted in the summer. Nice one Levy.
Don't think the fans will be that bothered though. The lad has potential but has yet to show it.
On another note German U21 captain Lewis Holtby has agreed to join Spurs in the summer on a free transfer. The Anglo-German's contract at Schalke is coming to an end and he's signed a pre-contract agreement with Tottenham. Again nice work Levy.
