Im sure most of you will be aware about the cricket match fixing scandal but might not be aware of how it effects Ryman Premier League side Croydon.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8963587.stm
The above story tells you all you need to know. Obviously its hard to know what team will play (if they play at all on Saturday) but they play a team called Concord who are still freely available to back at 3/1. I wouldnt suggest going over the top about it but at that price I think its well worth an interest as clearly all is not right at Croydon right now.
One of the best bets of the weekend is Rushden who go to York in the Blue Square Bet Premier. York have been pretty bad so far this season and sold their best player Richard Brodie to Crawley this week. Rushden have won their last three and have look to be finally finding their feet after a dodgy start to the season 15/8 is still available and looks a cracking bet. |

Brentford v Sheffield Wed
Brentford have played two lost two at home this season, the same number of losses as the whole of last season. So does this mean they’re relegation fodder already?
I don’t think so. Finishing 9th last year, they can’t have fallen so far so fast and in their two home games to date have been the better side – creating more chances having more possession and more corners.
Sheff Wed are playing well, but are perhaps flattered by their results to date. Taking the Hartlepool game out of the equation they average only 1 and a bit goals per game – although their defence has so far been exceptional.
I’m looking for Brentford to find a little bit of luck and recommend Lay AWAY.
Carlisle v Swindon
2 wins out of 2 for Carlisle and they are beginning to look more like the team of a couple of years ago when they challenged strongly for promotion. Home form was solid then too and I fear they are too strong for Swindon.
For their part, winless Swindon are at least scoring goals, but they are conceding more than they score and have suffered from late goal drama already this year. This is a long trip for them, and one that I don’t think will return anything. Odds are good here, value bet of the weekend. HOME WIN.
Oldham v Bristol Rovers
Oldham traditionally start the season well and this year is no exception. Unbeaten, and with a creditable away draw at Charlton, they look likely winners at home on Saturday.
Rovers are currently 19th but on results, I’d say they look the worst team in the league with 10 goals conceded already. It’s hard to see anything other than a solid HOME WIN.
Tranmere v Peterborough
Tranmere need to find some home form, and quick. It was only their solid record at home that kept them in the division last year, so 2 losses from 2 games is not promising.
Peterborough on the other hand are favourites to bounce back to the Championship. Everything points one way in this game, which is why the odds are so poor and offer no value. My money is going on Tranmere to get something from the game – Lay AWAY.
Good luck all. |

CARLISLE V SWINDON
SWINDON i fancy here after a great result midweek.last season swindon nicked a 1-0 win at brunton park with austin scoring after 3minutes!carlise have only played brentford and mk dons at home this season so i dont think they have had a real test and also they have conceded in there last 4 games which i think the likes of austin Pericard will cause any1 problems in this division!FANTASIC PRICE AT 21/10 AT WILLS AWAY WIN![/b] |

Mk Dons Vs Hartlepool - HOME WIN
MK Dons look too strong for Hartlepool here. Hartlepool actually started the season quite well. They drew away at Rochdale, won at home to Sheff Utd in the cup, drew 2-2 at home to Swindon, won away at Yeovil. However, they were well beaten last weekend when Sheff Wednesday thrashed them 5-0 at home. That result will have dented their confidence and although they got a very good 4-0 home win in the cup in midweek, they now face a tough game away to Mk Dons. The hosts can be vulnerable on the road but got a good 2-1 win here against Swindon and should be able to follow that up with another win here. Home win, 2-0.
Dagenham Vs Leyton Orient - HOME WIN
I fancy Dangenham to get a win here. They are currently sitting in the drop zone but they havnt done that badly really. They lost 2-0 away at Sheff Wed, lost 2-1 away to MK Dons in the cup and lost 1-0 away to Notts County. They did draw their first home game 2-2 with Tranmere which wasnt a bad result. They lost 1-0 last weekend but that was away to Charlton. Leyton Orient do sit a little further up the table but they have drawn one and lost one away from home so far. Its a derby so it should be close but i think Dagenham will just have enough to win it with home advantage.1-0
Oldham Vs Bristol Rovers - HOME WIN
Oldham look a decent bet here. They have started the season well and currently sit in 4th place. They beat Tranmere 2-1 away in their first game, beat Notts County 3-0 at home and got a decent draw away at Charlton. Bristol Rovers havnt started quite so well. They did beat Yeovil 2-1 in their first home game but they have been poor on the road, scoring only two and conceding five. They also suffered a 6-1 beating away at Oxford in the cup and a 4-0 defeat to Southampton lto. I think Oldham will win this one, 2-1.
Notts County Vs Yeovil - HOME WIN
I think Notts County can win this one. Neither of these two sides were expected to get off to great starts and neither have. Notts County though can score goals. They won here 1-0 against Dagenham, surprised championship side Watford with a 2-1 away win in the cup and only lost 1-0 away to Bournemouth. They are conceding a few too many goals but with home advantage against a Yeovil side that have drawn one and lost one away from home so far, i think Notts County can win this one. Home win, 2-1.
Carlisle Vs Swindon - HOME WIN
I thin Carlisle can win this. They have won both home game so far, scoring six goals and only conceding one. They have yet to be beaten and with home advantage here i expect them to win again. Swindon sit further down the table just above the drop zone. They have yet to win a game and have drawn one and lost one away from home. They gave Mk Dons a tough game last weekend but lost 2-1. Carlisle got a big 4-1 win over Mk Dons in their last home game and if they play like that again today will be too much for Swindon.Home win, 2-1
Shrewsbury Vs Rotherham - HOME WIN
Shrewsbury are in my season long bet to finish in the top 7 at least. They have started the season well and look strong at home. They neat Bradford 3-1 here and beat Charlton 4-3 in the cup. They did draw here with Aldershot but after three straight away games they will be pleased to get back here.Rotherham only sit just below Shrewsbury in the league but they havnt been great. They are scoring a few goals at home but they are also conceding too many. Away from home they have won one but that was a 1-0 win over Hereford. They were held by Hereford on the road and i can see Shrewsbury having too much for them at home, 3-1.

Chelmsford City v. Dorchester Town
Welcome to Non-League Day. An attempt to attract regular visitors to Premier and Championship games to attend a non league match and support a side that they live close to. Some clubs have offered half price entry upon proof of the club they normally support by means of their season ticket. I hope it attracts an increase at the turnstiles. This game has been promised to be an attacking one from the home side and will look to increase their goals for against a Dorchester team who have been shipping goals. Dorchester let go their club captain thi week to enable them to sign a replacement defender. The Magpies have not won here on two previous attempts and Chelmsford are yet to concede at home this term. A couple of niggling injuries for the home team including goalkeeper Pullan but otherwise a fully fit squad. They are a side expected to gain promotion this season after narrowly missing out last term.
Home win
Coral @1.40
Canvey Island v. Tooting & Mitcham Limited
A riskier game this one but T&M have never won here losing 2-1 and 3-1. The reverse fixture has given Canvey and Tooting a victory each.
Home win
Bet365 @ 2.15
Kingstonian v. Margate
Margate are yet to win this season whilst Kingstonian have won three on the trot and sit at the top of the form league and 2nd in the early days of the actual league.
Home win
Coral @1.57
Salisbury City v. Cirencester Town
Salisbury are the team to beat in this leagueafter having to drop two steps due to the administration rules. Unbeaten and having drawn their last two they should get back to winning ways today
Home win
SkyBet @1.44 |

as foretold in my pre season write up on torquay united, i mentioned that we'd keep more clean sheets than most teams this season, and so it came to pass, with 5 clean sheets out of our six games to date. today its about 7/4 for another one at southend today, and i'll be on it for the 7th time!!
also like the look of peterboro away (contrary to the previous post) as they seem to be rattling goals in currently and oldham from -1 as mentioned above for a nice treble |

Blue Square north
harrogate town vs hinckley united 1.83 Betfair home win
hi i think harrogate town are good value 2day to beat hinckley united who have losted six of there best players to corby town over the summer, hinckley united have losted there last three games but have scored 8 goals they seem to be struggling up front,so it going be home win 2day
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
stalybridge celtic vs gainsborough trinity 2.68 Betfair away win
stalybridge celtic are a side year after year they will always be gd bet for the playoffs, but not this season since they have losted alot off there best players, they have very yound side for the fulture, with gainsborough trinity the manager is brian little and this year they expect him to be promoted at lest in the play offs,i think this is a give away price for away win
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
england leage 2
chesterfield vs lincoin city 1.72 Betfair home win
lincoin city are strugging for players upfront 2day with albert adomah out for the game also dont stop there they have only scored two goals in six games so they are finding it hard to bag the net so i see a home win here
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
aldershot vs northampton town 2.12 Betfair home win
if you are a punter who goes by stats well northampton is the only team in the four divisions who havent scored a goal, last seson they relyed on player to score there goals akinfenwa who have moved to gillingham now leaving the strikers they dont have a clue what to do,they have only had 3 draws one loss,so the bookies got some faith in them, but we dont see it going that way, they was lucky on there last game to get 87 min goal to earn a draw would been two losses so i see nothing but a home win

Huddersfield v Bournemouth
I think Huddersfield will win this game quite easily. Last week Bournemouth threw away a 3 goal lead against Notts County, their defence capitulating after County's first goal was scored. Meanwhile Huddersfield were brushing aside fellow promotion hopefuls Charlton with a comprehensive 3-1 victory. The goalscoring form of Jordan Rhodes looks set to continue .
Bournemouth are still without Fletcher and Lovell us front, and with doubts over Symes as well, their already thin squad may be pushed to the limits. Meanwhile Huddersfield have been boosted by the return of England under 21 goalie Alex Smithies, and especially Anthony Pilkington, who I regard as one of the best players in this league.
Huddersfield win 4/6

| shouldve kept my big mouth shut, torquay losing 1-0 at southend, and almost all my bets today were based round a clean sheet and a 0-2 victory, damn! |
