Who will be next Southampton Manager?
At this point in time I think it is a ridiculous decision to sack Pardew |

Yes bit disgrace sacking manager early into the season.
I think Alan Curbishley will be great bet for you
Maybe Alan Shearer to, as he be popular with the fans,
it will give Alan experience becoming a great manager!!
Don t think it be Martin o Neil think Martin taking a break from
football, waiting for a big club to come in.
Zola might be a dark horse??
Wonder if the odds are out now??
Sure Southampton will be in play off s this time round.. |

Disgusting decision, absolute disgrace to fire Pardew (Unless theres some massive behind the scenes thing we dont know about). They will not get a better replacement, idiots. After what Pardew achieved there last season, considering the squad upheaval, to win the JPT and narrowly miss out on the playoffs despite a 10pt deduction, he shouldnt have even been considered for the sack, despite an average start. Ok so 0-1 and 1-1 maybe they got itchy feet, but how do you then sack someone after a 4-0 win? Idiots running clubs are ruining everything AGAIN. Just seen this
I have not seen any papers today or heard the Radio but I am shocked upon reading this on here
After just three League games and a 4-0 win at the weekend . Crazy Decision but surely there must be a lot more to this than meets the eye |

What a great decision. Cheered me up...... being a Pompey boy. I thought it was nailed on they'd be in a higer league than us next season. "One team in hampshire, there's only one team in hampshire".
My understanding is it's as stupid and obvious as it looks, no hidden agenda. All last season Pardew was saying he was regularly called to see the board, he compared it to a business where he would have to talk through progress and would get pressure after every bad result. The implication was play-offs was last seasons minimum target, and last May the club would not publicly back Pardew (a question the local tv put to the club again & again), hence the rumours linkng him with other clubs. I thought realism would return after the death of the owner. Obviously not. Shame. lol _________________ Steve |

The ones you have to feel sorry about is the supporters,, Southampton,, i wont call them management because they are as far as removed from that capability to manage as salt has the same taste as sugar,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
What a poor lot the supposed management are,,,,for the Supporters i would like the team to do well,,, _________________ Turflines 6Lbs or more Clear on the Ratings

As a fan I can't really see anyone being better than Pardew with all this disruption. Hope they have someone good in mind. Martin O'Neill would be anyones choice. Phil Brown or Sven might be possibles. Eddie Howe has done well at Bournemouth and is unproven further ahead but has a lot of potential. Gus Poyet is good at Brighton. There are so many possibles. The supporters do want an improvement on Pardew and most of those available are of similar ilk.
| Quote: | | I have been told that several support staff based at the club's training ground have recently resigned, claiming an inability to work with Pardew. It hints at either a club strong enough to resist the pressure of public opinion or one that is out of touch with its fanbase - (Paul Fletcher - BBC Blog) |

I cant see anyone down here being happy about this, and if they are Id love to hear their reasoning. There is no one that would be an improvement though, thats the main thing - this is a backwards step. The other thing of course, is who the heck would WANT the job after the shocking treatment of Pardew? This may massively hinder, rather than help, the promotion charge. _________________ Theo Walcott will score at least 20 in all competitions this season.
