As per Anthony's good suggestion, we can use this for close-season discussions. If you want to talk about the season just finished and the Giants amazing second "on-the-road" Superbowl win, or discuss prospects for next season, this is the place to do it.
Who do you think will get Andrew Luck?
Is he as good as people think?
Which other names should we watch out for from the draft?
Will Payton Manning lift the Colts back to the top again?
Were the 9-7 Giants lucky, or just damn good at the right times in the season?
The high-powered offences which dominated the regular season (Packers, Saints, Patriots) all fell by the wayside eventually. Defence still rules, right?
Who's your team to look out for next year? 49ers? Panthers? Colts? Cowboys? Ravens? Falcons?

Just a little fyi for those interested. I'm in Dallas/Fort Worth right now (once again I'm in Texas when there's no football on! sheesh!!), and the local talk on sports news here is that of the Cowboys and Redskins big problem with the salary cap for the next season. Seems these two overspent during the 2010 "no-cap" season, and now it's payback time. Didn't catch how far the Redskins were off the mark but the Cowboys are $15 MILLION over currently and it looks like if they want to do anything to get new blood in this season they're going to have to cut the current salary total. So look for some well paid players getting the boot. _________________ ----

Latest news, According to NFL.com, Peyton Manning to sign for Denver Broncos
http://www.nfl.com
I must say i thought Manning would go to the 49'ers, and Alex Smith would go to the Dolphins, Tebow for Miami? _________________ If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

AH bengals get a go on sky when playing steelers or ravens in the divisional matches, and maybe a monday night or sunday night game.
Some activity lots of contracts been extended over extra year, putting cap problem back a year.
The skins have always broke their cap 29out of 30 of the other teams voted for the action against the two teams.
Tebow to jets is mad move he takes up a bit cap room considering how much sanchez has managed get from his new contract. |

An interesting post season already - Manning's move to the Broncos meant they went from 75/1 to 8/1 to win the SuperBowl.
In other news, i love how the Rams have played this off-season, trading away their 2nd pick overall to go 6th instead while the Redskins will go for Robert Griffin 3.
The key to this is that they have a franchise QB and they can afford to give that pick away and still get Justin Blackmon, possibly the best looking wide receiver since Andre Johnson came on the scene.
The Packers signed Jeff Saturday, which can only be a good thing, while the Saints are in disarray with Sean Payton looking at a season out of the game. Bill Parcels is being noted as his successor, but i feel something like ths can only be a huge negative, and i would say that may be lucky to get 10 wins this year. |
